| In order to reduce the risk about supply of crude oil, keep the rapid and stable develop-ent of China, a large number of large floating storage tanks were built. If these tanks are damaged due to vigorous uplift or sloshing in the earthquake, it will bring immeasurable loss. Based on the work of uplift or sloshing those domestic and overseas scholars have studied, and in support of the research programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China(514 78090),the simulation model about 15×104m3 storage tank with floating roof appended baffles or floating roof appended dampers were established, and studied the control about both uplift and sloshing. The main content of this paper is as follows:1. Established the model of 15×104m3 tank and Clough tank, they were filled with potential fluid and FCBI fluid, then analyzed earthquake response. By comparison of the results and theoretical and experimental results, it showed that:the tank filled with FCBI fluid can accurately simulate the earthquake response consisted of uplift and sloshing.2.The uplift height of 15×104m3 floating roof tanks is 67mm by the effects of El-Cen-tro seismic wave, the uplift area likes a narrow crescent moon, meanwhile it accompanied by swell. Compared with exposure storage tanks,floating tank can reduce the earthquake respon-se such as wave height、total overturning force moment etc,but its uplift height is greater than exposure storage tank.3. Aiming at the characters of floating roof tank, two devices floating roof appended baffles and floating roof appended dampers were designed for control the uplift and sloshing. By the analysis of the tank with the floating roof appended baffles device:when floating roof was appended one baffle, the higher baffle is, the better reducing sloshing wave height is, and the more homogeneous the free surface is split, the better reducing sloshing wave height is; when installing 3 baffles under the floating roof, the height of sloshing wave was controlled, meanwhile the height of uplift decreased significantly, it shows that the appearance of uplift is related to sloshing height. By studying the floating roof appended dampers:the tank’s earthquake response was reduced in various degree, the height of sloshing wave and peak seismic-reduction rate of uplift height had reached 89% and 96%. It proved that the devices not only controlled the sloshing wave height and uplift, but also had an inhibition to other earthquake response about storage tank.4. Results showed that:it can control the shaking and lift-off obviously when the number of damper is 64 and the damping coefficient is 2×106 Kg/s by changing the damper damping coefficient and the number of damper, optimizing the device about floating roof appended dampers, and analyzing earthquake response about storage tank. The mean effects analysis of the tank with the optimized control device showed that:under different seismic waves, dampers can reduce the earthquake response in varying degrees, it proved that the control devices about uplift and sloshing wave height had a strong adaptation; even if the seismic wave effecting on the storage tank has same site classification and earthquake magnitude, its earthquake response will have a great variation coefficient, so in order to assure accurate seismic analysis, the design must choose multiple seismic waves to analyze with mean effects on designing the storage tanks anti-seismic. |
