Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products cannot be removed completely by traditional wastewater process,the concentrations of them are increasing in the environment.PPCPs have been detected in the surface water,underground water and drinking water,due to PPCPs are used more and more widely in our daily life.Some researches show that PPCPs can be harmful to humans and other biont in the part of reprodution,nerve and the possibility of cancer.So it is important to investigate the degradations of this pollutant in water.Personal care products are low content and conventional treatment process in water environment.UV/H2O2 combination is a simply and effectivly way.Ibuprofen is a new anti-inflammatory analgesic drugs,it worked better than others because of the low toxicity,well curative effect and little side effects.This paper mainly studied the degradation kinetics about the ibuprofen under the UV/H2O2.The influenc under the various influence factors.Finally,The UV/H2O2 degradation mechanism have been discussed,by the biodegradation pathway and product testing.This paper examines the degradation dynamics and affecting factors of ibuprofen.The results showed that the degradation can be rapidly under the UV/H2O2,but the degradation of ibuprofen is zero with H2O2 alone and work slowly with UV alone.The degradation process follows the first order kinetics,the influence of the degradation rate of ibuprofen's initial concentration.The influence of ibuprofen degradation on H2O2 shows that the degradation rate increased with the increase of H2O2.The degradation effect is best when the concentration came to 120 mg/L.The influence of the degradation rate decrease along with the increase of initial pH values 7.5,and then increased.Also examines the common ion of Yin and Yang of ibuprofen degradation in water,the water ion of Yin and Yang of the degradation of ibuprofen has certain inhibitory effect.Inhibition of anion degree according to the order from large to small is: Ca2+,Mg2+,Fe3+,Cu2+.Inhibition of four kinds of cationic degree by size in the order as follows:Ca2+,Mg2+,Fe3+,Cu2+.Surfactant is also a common material in the water,were selected cationic surfactants,anionic surfactant,nonionic surfactants in common surfactants were studied,the degree of suppression of three kinds of surfactants from big to small,respectively,dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid sodium,hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide,twain-80.This paper examines the biodegradation pathway and the change of toxicity on degradation products through the study of ibuprofen degradation.For the UV/H2O2 degradation products of ibuprofen by the HPLC-MS determination.According to spectrum,degradation products were detected:1-ethyl-4-?2-methylpropyl?-benzene;1-ethenyl-4-?2-methylpropyl?-benzene;1-?1-hydroxyethyl?-4-isobutyl-benzene;4-?2-mcthypropyl?-acetohenone;4-isobuthyl-acetophenone;2-[4-?1,2-2 hydroxy propyl?-2-hydroxy benzoic acid].And speculated the oxidation degradation pathway is hydroxyl and decarboxylation reaction.Toxicity of ibuprofen degradation changed from increases to decreases,show that there are higher toxicity in the middle of ibuprofen degradation.
