Creative Design On The Tea-drinking Utensil Of Song Dynasty Under The View Of Neo-Confucianism

The purpose of this paper is to explore the design concept complying with the Chinese Neo-Confucianism, thereby leading the modern life style. The approach of this paper is, to analyze the core values of the Neo-Confucianism affect the value orientation and life style of the people such that people can study the phenomena of the nature and cultivate their moral character during the tea-drinking, under the historical background of Song Dynasty, with taking the tea-things of Song Dynasty which is a period of great prosperity as an inspiration.The present paper discourses the impetuous and ostentatious value orientation and life style in the modern life. The conclusion is that the single ideology praised highly in the feudal society does not exist in the present age. In the modern society filled with multiculture, we should find the healthy life style which is suitable for the scientific and technical level of the present age, lead people with fair design concept so that they can find healthy life style, thereby finally forming the core concept of values having Chinese characteristics, inheriting and developing the craftsmanship spirit of the designer. We should apply the cultural spirit to the modern life, inherit and develop the tea culture and the spirit of Neo-Confucianism by using new tea-drinking manner under the view of Neo-Confucianism.
