Grain refinement is an important means to improve the performance of aluminum alloy material,semi-solid forming technology research has became an industry hot topic,because it is able to quickly and efficiently to obtain fine grains.Semi-solid forming technology is the key of how to quickly and efficiently get the semi-solid slurry,which is the focus of the researches direction.In this paper,semisolid slurry is presented based on the investigation of the preparation of technical analysis,then putting forward the rotating straight tube of aluminum alloy.Semi-solid slurry prepared by several kinds of test equipment which designed and manufactured all by self,then using semi-solid slurry equipment to research on the preparation process of semi-solid A356 aluminum alloy slurry technology,discusses the preparation methods and technology parameters of semisolid slurry solidifying structure the influence of grain shape,through the analysis of the preparation of the microstructure of billet,got the following useful conclusions:1)Method of the machinery stirring temperature's influence on the microstructure of semisolid A356 aluminum alloy is the largest.With the loss of the mixing temperature,the mechanical mixing method of the microstructure of semi-solid slurry is better,when mixing temperature of A356 alloy solid phase close to line,and improving the stirring speed and stirring time fully shattered existing dendrites,which can be spherical or granular,primary ?-Al distribution more uniform.2)The straight tube of semi-solid slurry prepared by the pouring temperature is more sensitive,and with the increase of pouring temperature,the resulting semi-solid slurry organization form is becaming bad.Also,increasing the height of the straight pipe is advantageous to the primary phase of ?-Al from rosiness or dendrite to spherical particles,the better the semi-solid slurry of organization.This study on the pouring temperature is630 ? straight pipe height is 400 mm of semi-solid slurry of organization form is best.3)By using rotating straight pipe process,can significantly reduce the semi-solid slurry quality for pouring temperature sensitivity.When speed up to 300 rad/min,the high pouring temperature(670 ?)can still get the ideal morphology of semi-solid slurry.4)This study proposed the rotation of the straight pipe equipment design is simple,easy,and greatly reduce the pouring temperature on the limitation of slurry preparation,and expanded to get ideal of semi-solid slurry pouring temperature interval,which makes itmore suitable for industrial production requirements.Also,it provided a new train of thought for industrial application of semi-solid forming technology.
