Glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) is an important vinyl monomer with epoxy group.It is a high active monomer which is widely used in coating,light-solidfied material, adhensive,medicine and so on.The traditional method of preparing for GMA exists organochlorines. New requirements for the synthesis of GMA are proposed.In this paper. Glycidyl were prepared with epichlorohydrin.then used methyl methacrylate (MMA) and have already prepared glycidyl(GLY) by ester exchange reaction,Producing new ester glycidyl methacrylate(GMA).The existence of organochlorines could be avoided effectively.Epichlorohydrin were catalyzed by silica sulfuric acid and obtained 3-Chloro-1,2-propanediol as products.Then products through hydrochloric acid acidification,filtration,desalination,vacuum distillation got higher purity glycidyl.We determined that potassium acetate,potassium carbonate and potassium hydroxide could be used as high quality of the catalysts. We were studying the preparation of glycidyl methacrylate(GMA)process:the following main factors influencing product of GMA were discussed, such as raw material ratio, concentration of catalyst,reaction temperature, reaction time concentration of inhibitor and concentration of organochlorines on the preparation of glycidyl methacrylate(GMA). We found that the products quality are better when the material ratio of MMA and GLY ranges from 1.5:1 to2:1.with the increase of temperature and catalyst concentration,the purity of product GMA had a tendency to increase.But beyond a certain value, the yield of the GMA went downThrough the design experiments we have determined the best process condition:Potassium acetate as ester exchange reaction catalyst,catalyst needs 300 mg.Inhibitor of P-Hydroxyanisole needs 10mg. Reaction:n(MMA):n(GLY)=1.5:1, reaction temp is 95?,reaction time is 2.5 h.The conclusion is reached by gas chromatography. The yield of the product GMAas high as 98.14%.
