"Hygienic Standard for Cosmetics" in China formulates that Basic Orange 31, Basic Red 51, Basic Yellow 87, Basic Blue 26 (CI44045), Acid Orange 3 (CI10385), Acid Violet 43 (CI60730) and Basic Violet 14 (CI42510) are restricted colorants used in hair cosmetics. This paper investigates and develops the Quantitative Methods of Liquid Chromatography of these seven restricted colorants and the Pretreatment Methods of samples used in hair dye.(1) The main contents of them are:HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) is established which can test seven colorant samples simultaneously. The specific detection method is:By using Dionex high performance liquid chromatography Ultimate 3000 and the chromatographic column Diamonsil 5?m C18(2) 100A(150*4.6mm), under the conditions (column temperature of 25 ?, flow velocity at 1mL/min, the injection volume of 10?L, methanol the starting volume ratio of methanol at 20%), the methanol volume ratio rises to 80%in 20min. Then, as the gradient eluted program, the isocratic elution is processed for 15min. Finally, the seven colorants used in hair dye which are analyzed in this paper can be completely detected in 35min for once. Meanwhile the wave of the seven colorants detected by DAD (Diode Array Detector) is determined:Basic Blue 26 (610nm); Basic Violet 14 (520nm); Basic Red 51 and Basic Orange 31 (480nm); Acid Orange 3 (320nm); Acid Violet 43 and Basic Yellow 87 (245nm).(2) The Pretreatment Methods of hair dye samples are developed. The preferably extraction recovery can be obtained after 30min sonication through using methanol as the extraction solvent. This paper also completes the methodology validation systematically and the results indicates that all the seven colorants have accurate linear response in linear range: Basic Blue 26 (detection limit 3.0?g/mL, quantification limit 10.0?g/mL, recovery 93.07%-99.06%, RSD 0.92%-2.24%); Acid Orange 3 (detection limit 2.5?g/mL, quantification limit 8.0?g/mL, recovery 93.01%-98.93%, RSD 1.02%-2.27%); Acid Violet 43 (detection limit 3.0?g/mL, quantification limit 10.0?g/mL, recovery 93.07%-99.06%, RSD 0.92%-2.24%); Basic Violet 14 (detection limit 0.3?g/mL, quantification limit 1.0?g/mL, recovery 94.57%-99.15%, RSD 0.56%-2.51%); Basic Orange 31 (detection limit 4.0?g/mL, quantification limit 12.0?g/mL, recovery 93.64%-99.33%, RSD 0.77%-2.54%); Basic Red 51 (detection limit 0.3?g/mL, quantification limit 1.0?g/mL, recovery 95.04%-99.00%, RSD 0.97%-2.29%); Basic Yellow 87 (detection limit 13.0?g/mL, quantification limit 40.0?g/mL, recovery 96.07%-99.34%, RSD 1.19%-2.28%)...
