Research And Evaluation Method Of Fireworks Colorant Formulation

Fireworks Colorant is applied widely in Signal bullet and civil fireworks.Its flame efffect is only judged by eyes,and there is not quantified index to evaluate it.Based on the spectroscopy and chromaticity principle,this paperpreliminary set up quantitative evaluation method of flame colore effect of fireworks.The calculation of color coordinate main wavelength and color purity can make the fireworks colarant quantify include the monochromatic light and the composite shade.The commonly used pyrotechnic colorant was evaluated by the quantitative evaluation method of flame color effect.Through the analysis of the parameters such as the content of the characteristic radiator in the flame,the color purity of the flame color and the main wavelength,commonly used red light agent,yellow light agent color purity are more than 80%;commonly used blue agent,green light color purity is low,in the range of 20% to 60%;commonly used purple light color purity,but the color is red.This paper studied the influence of alloy powder content on the combustion spectrum and color of green light agent.The results show that when the content of alloy powder in the green powder formulation is 10% ~ 12%,the interference peak in the combustion spectrum can be less in the case of high color purity.This paper studied the influence of alloy powder content on the combustion spectrum and color of blue light agent.The results show that when the amount of alloy powder is greater than 2%,color purity is reduced and its tone changes.So alloy powder content in the blue powdershould not exceed 2%.On the basis of the design of the blue agent,this paper studied effect of strontium nitrate on flame color effect and color matching of purple.The results show that the content of strontium nitrate can lead to the change of the color of the luster,but not the effect on the color purity.When the content of strontium nitrate in the formula is 4% ~ 8%,the purity of the purple light is high and the color is purple.The ratio of strontium nitrate and copper oxide in the formula should be between 1: 5 and 2:5.
