Flame furnace is an important thermal equipment, chemical flame in the furnace through the combustion of fuel into heat, and heated working fluid utilized. As the most important in furnace equipment, burners and energy performance of the temperature distribution within the furnace has a decisive influence, therefore, how improve the performance of the burner has been a focus of the study. Since the gas is easy to complete combustion of the fuel, less pollution to the environment, which is currently widely used in iron and steel furnace gas as fuel, the current steel furnace,when the furnace is insufficient yield, full load operation will lead to a lot of waste of energy, in this case need to reduce the heat load of the burner, how to reduce the heat load while maintaining constant flame length as much as possible, in order to ensure the quality of billet heating the contents of the research paper.In this paper, Fluent6.3 used as computing platform, some burner combustion process is simulated,on the basis of previous reference to burner improvements,in air DC jet and thermal load cases studied inside and outside the air ratio in the combustion chamber combustion characteristics(temperature distribution, maximum temperature, the flame length, NO generation amount, etc. effects, we use the standard turbulence model and ? function simplifies PDF turbulent diffusion combustion model, simulate gas combustion under different thermal load, and found that with the burner load decreases, the flame length becomes shorter, the flame stability decreased,NO concentration in the combustion gas rises. Therefore, this article proposes improvements on the basis of original burner, the burner I is canceled burner secondary air imports, will be divided into four imported gas imports to adjust the burner load by switching the four gas imports; On the basis of the burner on the improvement I get burners II, the gas import to import two equal area by adjusting the ring-shaped gas inlet to adjust the burner heat load; burner III cancel burner secondary air imports, the gas and air inlet placed in the burner imported intermediate position by adjusting the gas and air speed to adjust the burner heat load. By comparing three improved structure III can be found in three improved burner configuration best jetimpact area is large, the flame is longer, and with the lower burner heat load, the combustion flame length remains the same, it is possible to meet the requirements,burner III heat load at 1/4, NO concentration at the outlet was lowest.
