Coordination polymers not only have a rich variety of structures, but also exhibit potential applications in the fields of gas adsorption, optics, magnetism, catalysis, et al. Therefore, the design and synthesis of coordination polymers with novel structures and good properties have attracted widespread attention of chemical researchers in recent years.With the regulation of 1,3,5-triazine derivatives, seven carboxylic acids have been selected to self-assemble with transition metal ions or rare-earth metal ions. As a result, twenty-one coordination polymers have been synthesized by hydrothermal methods and characterized by IR spectra, elemental analyses, X-ray single crystal diffractions, X-ray powder diffractions and thermogravimetric analyses. The properties such as fluorescence and magnetism of some compounds are also investigated. The main contents are as follows:?1? With the regulation of 2,4-diamino-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazine?dmt? in the synthesis and structure, four coordination polymers have been obtained based on the rigid 1,4-naphthalic acid?1,4-npa?, which are {[Co7?OH?6?1,4-npa?4?H2O?3]?dmt?0.5·4H2O}n?1?, {[Ni4?OH?2?1,4-npa?3?H2O?2]·2.5H2O}n?2?, {[Mn3?1,4-npa?4]?imH?2·4H2O}n?3?, {[Cd3?1,4-npa?4]?imH?2·4H2O}n?4??im = imidazole?. Compound 1 contains a crown-like heptanuclear Co7?OH?6 spin cluster, which is firstly used as SBU to display a beautiful bilayer 2D triangular lattice by the 1,4-npa bridges and it can be simplified as {315.418.53} topology. Compounds 2-4 are all constructed to 3D frameworks by the bridge of 1,4-npa between 1D chains. Magnetic measurements indicate that 1 exhibits high spin frustration.?2? Likewise, with the regulation of dmt, coordination polymer [Ag3?btc??dmt??H2O?]n?5? has been synthesized based on the rigid 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid?H3btc?. The 2D structure can be simplified as a rare 2-nodal?3,4?-connected topology and further extends to 3D framework through hydrogen bonding and Ag…O weak interactions. It not only exhibits luminescent property at solid state, but also has photocatalytic activity to RhB.?3? By means of regulation of different triazine derivatives in synthesis, coordination polymers [Zn7Cl6?oba?4]n?6?, [Cd7Cl6?oba?4]n?7?, [Zn?oba??H2O?]n?8?, [Ag2?oba?]n?9?, [Co?oba??H2O?2]n?10? have been obtained based on the semi-rigid 4,4?-oxydibenzoic acid?H2oba?. Compounds 6 and 7 are isomorphism, exhibiting pillared-layer structures, in which the 2D inorganic layers?Zn6Cl7?n?or?Cd6Cl7?n? are connected by oba2- pillars. Compound 9 exhibits 1D chain connected by oba2- and binuclear silver units, and further extends to 2D wave layer via Ag…O weak interactions. Compounds 8 and 10 extend from 1D stair-like chain as well as 2D layer to 3D frameworks via hydrogen bonding interactions. Moreover, compounds 6-9 display luminescent properties at solid state while compound 10 exhibits antiferromagnetism.?4? With the regulation of dmt, an acentric coordination polymer {[Mn?HPIDC??H2O?]·2H2O}n?11? has been synthesized based on the semi-rigid 2-?pyridin-4-yl?-1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid?H3PIDC?. The structure can be simplified a 3D noninterpenetrated utp topology. Compound 11 also features ferroelectric property, non-linear optics as well as antiferromagnetic behavior.?5? By means of regulation of 2,4-diamino-6-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine?phdat? or 2,4-diamino-6-chlorine-1,3,5-triazine, coordination polymers [Co?ca??phdat?]n?12?, [Ni?ca??phdat?·0.125H2O]n?13?, [Ni3?OH?2?D-ca?2?D-H2ca?3]n?14? have been obtained based on chiral D-camphoric acid?D-H2ca?. Compounds 12 and 13 exhibit layered network built up from binuclear Co2?CO2?4/Ni2?CO2?4 SBUs by ca2– ligand and further extend to 3D networks via ?…? stacking interactions between hanging phdat ligands. Compound 14 contains two types of nested coaxially helical chains with opposite chirality. Moreover, 12 and 13 exhibit antiferromagnetism while 14 displays interesting spin-canting phenomenon.?6? With the regulation of phdat/dmt, coordination polymers [Co?e,a-cis-1,4-chdc??phdat?]n?15?, [Cd?e,a-cis-1,4-chdc??phdat?]n?16?, [Cd?e,a-cis-1,4-chdc?2?dmt?2?H2O?2]n?17? have been synthesized based on the 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid?e,a-cis-1,4-chdc?. Compounds 15 and 16 are isomorphism, forming 1D chains via the connection between binuclear Co2?CO2?4/Cd2?CO2?4 SBUs and 1,4-chdc, and further extend to 3D network by hydrogen bonding and ?…? stacking interactions; while in compound 17, 1,4-chdc ligands are coordinated to mononuclear Cd unit. It finally constructs to 3D network by a variety of hydrogen bonding interactions.?7? By means of regulation of melamine, four isomorphic coordination polymers have been synthesized based on flexible citric acid?H4cit?, which are [Ln?Hcit??H2O?2·2H2O]n?Ln = Nd?18??Sm?19??Gd?20??Er?21??. All of them extend to layer structures with the bridge of Hcit3– ligand and can be simplified as fes topology. Moreover, compound 19 exhibits luminescent property at solid state.
