The stability of tailings dam is influenced by blasting vibration during the production of a quarry nearby,once the danger of dam failures happen,people.downstream will suffer huge lose and threat in both property and life.In order to study on the vibration intensity of the tailings dam when blasting,keep the tailings dam under stability,make people and their property in safety,typical blasting adjacent to the tailings dam was tested and analyzed;using the computer program Ansys/Ls-dyna and FLAC3 D to simulate and analyze the dam be heighten and expanded.First of all,4 blasting tests were done on the quarry,using blastmate to monitor and analyze the data,result shows that:in the 4 tests,the vibration intensity of 2# auxiliary dam and main dam comply with the seismic safety when the maximum single dosage less than720 kg.In order to determine the minimum safe distance of quarry blasting,using the datd tested to processing sodev's formula,deduced the minimun safe distance R is 138 m according to the Non seismic large block theory.In the conservvative case according to sodev's formula the minimun safe distance R is 370 m.Secondly,using the software Ls-dyna to numerical simulate the maximum allowable amount of explosive when the blasting work nearest to the tailings dam,study and analysis the influence of blasting vibration on tailings dam.It shows that simuliation result concur with the measured data of blasting vibration propagation law.Although the simulate result may be larger than numerical measured,the reason is that the process of calculation of explosive simplified,which result in explosive becomes concentrated and strengthen the blasting vibration.the simulation result tend to be more safe,having a certain reference value to guide the design of engineering blasting.Lastly,with tailings discharge,The excretion of the tailings existing capacity is not enough to support the tailings,and the tailings dam heightening may produce some uncertain factors affecting its stability.In order to explore the effect of quarry blasting on the dam when the dam to the final pile elevation,using software ANSYS and FLAC3 D to analysis and calculate the heighten dam,the result shows that when the highest value to the design of tailings dam heightening,Quarry work in charge and blasting methods used at the present stage,The blasting vibration generated by the impact of the tailings dam is safe.Analysis and contrast the 4 blasting tests with numerical simulation,numericalsimulation has a important guiding value on research and prediction of blasting vibration.
