In 2004,The ionic liquid 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidinium lactate?TMGL?was synthesized use 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidine?TMG?and lactic aicd by HAN Buxing et al.Then,TMGL was supported onto porous silica particles by LI Bogeng et al.to prepare the TMGL-supported particles?TMGL/SiO2?.Due to its highly selectivity and SO2 sorption capacity,TMGL/SiO2 has broad application prospects in the field of desulfurization.Currently,researching with an engineering perspective can contribute to its practical application.In this work,compared with TMGL/SiO2 and porous silica,experiments were carried out to investigate the effects of various operating conditions on sulfur dioxide adsorption and desorption processes by TMGL/SiO2,such as the initial SO2 concentration and temperature.The results show that:?1?Loading ratio within the range of0/1-0.8/1,the breakthrough time increased with the increase of loading ratio.When the loading ratio is less than 0.4/1,the adsorption capacity is proportional to the loading ratio.Conversely,the adsorption capacity is inversely proportional to the loading ratio.?2?Initial SO2 concentration within the range of 0.1-0.5%,with the increase of the concentration of SO2,breakthrough time gradually shortened and the adsorption capacity increases.?3?Breakthrough time and adsorption capacity reduced as the temperature increased.Therefore,low temperatures favor adsorption,but desorption benefit from high temperatures.There are some disadvantages for particulate,such as large pressure drop and mass transfer resistance.Contrastly,monolith has the advantage of low pressure drop and high mass transfer efficiency.The crystallinemicroporous aluminophosphates?TMG-AlPO-5-M?synthesized by supporting TMG on AlPO-5 with the method of hydrothermal.The new monolithic meterial?TMG-AlPO-5-CHC?prepared by loading TMG-AlPO-5-M onto the cordierite substrates,and researched on its SO2 adsorption performance.The results show that:?1?Its SO2 capacity reached 0.54 mol SO2/mol IL at ambient temperature and pressure?0.2%SO2/N2,500 mL/min,adsorption equilibrium time is about 30 min?.?2?SO2 capacity of the monolith?TMG-AlPO-5-CHC?reached 0.72 mol SO2/mol IL at ambient temperature and pressure?0.2% SO2/N2,100mL/min,adsorption equilibrium time is about 80 min?.The prepared monolithic material?TMG-AlPO-5-CHC?is featured by fast and highly efficient SO2 capture,and low pressure drop,negligible amplification effect,etc.It has a potential application in gas desulfurization.
