Recently, due to its unique two dimension atomic structure and outstanding performance graphene has attracted significant attention,so graphene is used more widely in the actual production. In order to realize the many potential applications that graphene can offer,it is very crucial that control the micro structure and chemical composition of graphene.Introduction of long chain functional groups on the graphene not only can reduce the graphene oxide but also can change the structure and chemical elements of graphene,so it provides the possibility for graphene which can use in supercapacitor and selective separation. In this thesis,we use two different long chain materials as reducing agent to modify graphene oxide.Fluorine containing groups represent very promising functionalities due to that fluorine not only changing the physico-chemical properties of graphene surface,it may also change its electronic and magnetic properties.Herein, the first topic of the thesis,we describe the synthesis and characterization of perfluoroalkyl functionalization of graphene oxide by a simple and general solution-based process via using perfluorooctyl functionalized anilineas reducing and grafting reagent synchronously for the first time.Importantly, the perfluoroalkyl functionalized graphene hydrogels could be achieved by a hydrothermal method. The as-fabricated FGHs exhibit outstanding absorption ability and electrochemical performances including ultrahigh specific capacitance of 321.6 F g-1;and excellent cycling stability in the aqueous electrolyte and organic electrolyte. The changes of electronic structure of the perfluoroalkyl functionalized graphene were also simulated by the density functional theory. The other aspect of this thesis is concerned on using different long carbon alkyl chain as the reducing agent including n-propylamine,n-octylamine,n-dodecylamine to synthesis the functionalized graphene. We use XRD,FT-IR,Raman,EDX etc respectively to characterize the reduction of the graphene oxide. What's more,we can get graphene thin film with different thickness by filtration. We use AFM and SEM to measure the surface roughness and thickness of the graphene film. The highest water contact angel of graphene film can reach to 150°so which can be used in the oil-water separation experiments. Is is worth mentioning that these graphene films can separate the mixed liquid with water volume fraction about 10%.After separation, the volume fraction of water drop to 1%-2%,which exhibits good molecular selectivity.
