Dynamic process simulation technology which has high economic value with technical difficulties is a simulation method in system engineering. Its products, chemical plant simulator, is often used for staff training and equipment optimization. Therefore, the development and improvement of dynamic process simulation technology has great significance to improve the efficiency of the plant, ensure the safety of production and so on. In chemical plants, power equipment such as centrifugal pumps and compressors run without mass transfer process, but its huge power consumption is the focus of optimization personnel. Due to historical reasons, power equipment computing is relatively simple in dynamic process simulation program. Its model does not reflect the dynamic characteristics and power consumption characteristics of power equipment. This defect not only affects the accuracy of the simulation machine, but also limits the application of dynamic process simulation technology in the energy optimization of chemical plant.This paper tries to give a block diagram of centrifugal pump dynamic module by description of the centrifugal pump dynamic process with its characteristic curve and previous research. According to the calculation method of pipe network and block diagram, the author of this paper has written the centrifugal pump module program which applies to dynamic process simulation. At the same time, the author of this paper has been tested on the centrifugal pump module in dynamic calculation of urban water supply pipe network, and the test results are in agreement with the actual dynamic process of centrifugal pump and author expectation. On top of this, the author develops the power equipment computing program which is related to pipeline calculation on requirements for momentum transfer process calculation at process simulation computational scale. The simulation results of this program less than the results of pump unit program, but its procedure is efficient without iteration during calculation process. And this program feeds the requirements of momentum transfer process calculation at process simulation computational scale.The authors also found that the defect of unstable result which is related to the pipe network computing in existing dynamic process simulation program during development of centrifugal pump module. Based on the review of the calculation of pipeline flow, the author analyzed the difficulty of the pipe network calculation in the dynamic process simulation from the mechanism level, and analyzed the method of the pipe network calculation in current dynamic process simulation program. On this basis, the author found the direct reason for the oscillation of simulation results by stepping through dynamic simulation program of steam distribution process, and solve this problem by improving iteration strategy. At the same time, the author analyzes the root cause of the instability of the calculation result, and gives a general strategy to solve the instability of the pipe network.The significance of the development and improvement which is related to dynamic process simulation program is not only giving a complete idea of the power equipment program development, but providing a strategy for developing new features which base on existing programs and fusing new features with existing programs. This strategy is useful for not only programmers of dynamic process simulation system, but users of this system.
