With the growing of global energy and environmental crisis, green renewable resources have attracted considerable attentions, and carbohydrates which represented by cellulose occupy an important position in it. The dissolution of carbohydrate compounds in solvent is an important step to realize a variety of applications. As a new type of green solvent, ionic liquid has many special properties. For example, it can dissolve the major of organic matter, in particular, the anion with hydrogen bond receptor of it can effectively dissolve cellulose. Deep Eutectic Solvent is very similar with IL, and has the advantages of simple preparation, low cost. In this paper, we measured the solubility of the glucose and cellobiose in deep eutectic solvent and ionic liquids by the static method and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The main research content is as follows:(1) Due to ionic liquids and eutectic solvent systems have strong water imbibition, causing a great influence on the determination of solubilities, we should need to remove the moisture of it. In this paper, I choiced of different drying methods for different systems. The result show that the deep eutectic solvents are available, which the moisture content of it is about one percent; ionic liquids are available, which the moisture content of it is about zero point five percent.(2) After the solubility of cellobiose in the five kinds of ionic liquids were mearsured at different temperatures, we calculated the related thermodynamic functions, such as ?Gso, ?Ssond ?Sso. The result shows that the dissolution of cellobiose in the five kinds of ionic liquids is a typical endothermic process; compared to the ionic liquid which contain [Cl]-, ionic liquid with [CH3COO]-are stronger in dissolving cellobiose; with the increasing carbon atoms's number of cationic side chains, such as [Bmim]+, [Emim]+, [Hmim]+, ionic liquid's ability of dissolving cellobiose will not always decrease;.(3) I prepared three kinds of DES which consisted of different proportion of choline chloride-lactic acid and found that cellobiose can be dissolved in it. After the solubilities of glucose in three kinds of deep eutectic solvents were mearsured at different temperatures, we calculated the related thermodynamic functions, such as ? Gso, ? Sso and ? Sso. The result shows that the dissolution of glucose in three kinds of deep eutectic solvent is less than that in ILs.In conclusion, I mearsured the solubility of glucose and cellobiose in three kinds of deep eutectic solvents and ionic liquids. These data are benefit to the solubility of carbohydrate compounds databases, which is the basis for later thermodynamic model.
