After the slab has been formed by the caster, then it should be cut occording to the length by the flame cutting machine, after cutting, a inverted conical burr will be adhered below the billet's incision. The main component of the burr is iron and iron oxides, it's very hard. If these burrs embed into slab, it will affect the quality of slab in the rolling process; and will damage the surface of the roll during rolling. At the present, most methods for removing the burrs of slab are use mechanical methods in continuous casting workshop. At that time, the continuous casting slab at a high temperature, the burr hardness is relatively low, it's easy to be removed. For some low-temperature billet burr removal, as for the temperature decrease, the burr harder than before, it is difficult to get a good deburring effect, using general mechanical methods.The thesis is done under the background of a steel plant in Jiangsu Medium's deburring machine development project. Aim at the low temperature of continuous casting slab deburring problem, design of slab finishing a test device based on plasma technology, using cutting methods deburring operations, according to the relevant facilities setting conditions of the pipeline, the main structure of the slab finishing experimental device has been designed, including a plasma torch clamping devices,cutting devices, lifting devices. Clamping device can easily adjust the angle, height and distance, to a plurality of sets of experimental parameters requirements. Because of the continuous casting billet often appear "non rectangular billet" when cut-to-length, and often occur "Deviation" phenomenon in the transport process. It will cause the continuous casting billet's end face and it's conveying direction is not vertical, it brought difficulties for the plasma deburring operation. In view of this phenomenon, this paper designs a set of mechanical compensation device, it's ensured the deburring effect. then, I have builded the 3D modeling of the plasma deburring machine with Solidworks software, including the specific design and component design and selection, designed the solenoid valve's way for cooling systems and air supply systems, use Hypermesh software to analyze the main bearing member, Verify the feasibility of the experimental apparatus work.
