Saving energy and reducing emissions of harmful gases such as carbon dioxide are of great significance for preventing the fog haze,reducing the greenhouse effect and improving the quality of the environment.The cement industry is regarded as the huge and major energy consumer,so the traditional cement production enterprise must pay attention to energy saving,emission reduction,control production costs,product quality improvement,and the system performance improvement in the upgrading process.The cement grinding process is the highest energy consumption in the process of cement production units.This paper studies the optimal control,the energy consumption reduction,the quality improvement,and the system performance improvement in the process of cement grinding.The research object of this paper is the grinding system which combines vertical mill with ball mill.This combined grinding system can be divided into two independent subsystems—Vertical grinding mill system and ball grinding mill system.Then the system models of the two subsystems are built separately.The controller of vertical grinding mill system and the controller of feed-load system of ball grinding mill system are both designed based on the MPC method.The temperature loop and differential pressure loop coupling system controller of ball grinding mill system isdesigned based on MPC-EID method.Simulation results demonstrate that the control effects of both the vertical mill system and the ball mill feed-load system which are based on MPC method are better than traditional PID control method.The controller of temperature loop and differential pressure loop coupling system of ball mill using MPC-EID method has good robustness,fast response and strong ability to reject the disturbance.The control effects are better than the control systems which are designed by MPC method and traditional PI Decoupling method,respectively.
