With the rapid development of China's manufacturing industry, the demand for micro parts is more and more extensive and the quality of micro parts is more demanding,Due to the tiny size, the complex shape and the clamping difficulty, the grinding tools hardly touch the area needed grinding, that result in it's difficult even impossible to achieve the precision grinding of these parts by traditional grinding technology. In this paper, based on the traditional magnetic abrasive finishing, combined with the motor theory, a micro parts precision grinding machine was designed and produced, and experimental study was carried out.This study propose a new polishing technology, which deburring beyond the traditional Magnetic Abrasive Finishing. Depending on the characteristics of the alternating electromagnetic field, the magnetic force lines can penetrate the non-magnetic material, the magnetic needles will be forced to rotate when the direction of the alternating revolving electromagnetic force line changes continually. Under the rotation of the magnetic needles, the relative motion between the tiny workpiece and the magnetic needles takes place, so randomly and frequently impact and scrape together, at last achieve the polishing and deburring of the workpiece surface. This polishing method has good flexibility and adaptivity, can easily achieve the precision polishing for the complex workpiece surfaces and the small grooves, and can be automatically controlled, so the Electromagnetic Abrasive Polishing method has many advantages over the traditional polishing method. However, there are few studies on this new polishing method until now. Therefore, The main research contents of this paper include the working principle and grinding mechanism of micro parts grinding machine. The stress analysis of the needle in the grinding process was carried out to determine the motion of the needle in the grinding process. The design scheme of the whole grinding machine is expounded, which include the choice of the iron core basis, winding wire, wiring method, the design of the cooling system, the design of the workpiece container and the control circuit of the whole machine, etc. The effects on different parameters of needle size, dosage, grinding frequency was analyzed. Finally, the grinding of micro gear, valve core, blade, nozzle and other parts were carried out to verify the alternative rotating electromagnetic field grinding device for micro parts of the grinding effect.All these researches in this study play a great role in guiding the practical application of the electromagnetic abrasive finishing equipment.
