With the rapid development of science and technology,new fiber materials with comfort and health functions are more and more popular.The successful development of Pearl-Panax notoginseng fiber provides a new type of functional textile material for the textile industries,as well as theoretical and technical support for the development of the other new traditional Chinese medicine fibers.Whether the fabric with this fiber have good wearing comfort and health function on human body is of great significance to its industrialization.Firstly,the Pearl-Panax notoginseng fiber with its basic performance and special functions is introduced in this paper.And the wearability and health functions of the fabric have been initially speculated.And then the concept of microcirculation which is closely related to human health is introduced.The action mechanism,importance of the human body as well as specific research methods of microcirculation are expounded,and this provides a theoretical foundation and technical support for follow-up studies.Secondly,Pearl-Panax notoginseng was blended with cotton by 50/50 and made into cylindrical knits.And then,physical objective comparison experiments of wearability were carried out compared with pure cotton fabric with the similar specifications.The objective test indictors include air permeability,hydroscopicity,moisture permeability,abrasion,pilling resistance,elasticity,etc.It was concluded through physical experiments that Pearl-Panax notoginseng/cotton fabric was similar with cotton fabric in wearability and a little better than that in hygroscopicity,moisture permeability and pilling resistance.And then the Pearl-Panax notoginseng/cotton cylinder knits was test on its function of far-infrared radiation and anti-ultraviolet.The normal emissivity within the Spectral region of 8-14?m reached at 0.89 and the value of Ultraviolet Protection Factor(UPF)increased nearly 60%than the pure cotton fabric.These results illustrate that Pearl-Panax notoginseng/cotton knits has stronger far-infrared emission and better UV protection functions.At the same time,the technology of nail fold microcirculation was innovatively used to study the improving effect Pearl-Panax notoginseng/cotton knits to human skin microcirculation.Based on the test principles of microcirculation,Pearl-Panax notoginseng/cotton fabric and pure cotton fabric were made into arm sleeves.The microcirculation tester was used to test the subject's nail fold microcirculation of their left and right arms before and after putting on the sleeves.And the microcirculation indexes data collected in different times were processed by t-test and Chi square test to analyze significant relationships in inner group and between different groups.The result showed both of the two fabrics can improve human skin microcirculation in a short time,but Pearl-Panax notoginseng/cotton fabric has more significant improvement effects in loop number,output branch pipe diameter,fluid integral,loop week integral and total integral than the cotton fabric.This indicates that nano-scale particles of calcium carbonate contained in Pearl-Panax notoginseng fiber form strong far-infrared emission and then promote percutaneous absorption of the effective ingredients through sustained-release,so they work together to strengthen human skin microcirculation.Finally,Pearl-Panax notoginseng,cotton and spandex core-spun yarn were made into sample socks by 35/35/30.In the subjective experiment,30 subjects were selected and half of whom are retired teachers associated with clothing.And two questionnaires were designed designing with 12 indicators which related to wearability and health care function in order to evaluate on the socks subjectively after wearing for more than a month.Before wearing,a preliminary investigation was conducted on subjects' foot skin condition,the material of daily wearing socks,problems encountered frequently and knowledge of health-care functional socks.After wearing,they were asked to rate the indicators of the socks.Likert scale was used in the questionnaire and the higher the score,the better the comfort and health-care function of socks.By descriptive statistics analysis and multiple responses in SPSS software,the result showed that average scores on 12 indicators of sample socks were all more than 3 points.This shows that it has good wearing comfort.However,the scores on two health-care functional indictors were relatively lower;this was influenced by wearing time to a certain extent.But on the whole,it can be concluded that the socks had a more significant improvement effect on the feet stink,rhagades and tinea unguium.The conclutions of this paper have the reference value for research methods on new functional fibers and industrialization promotion of new fibers.
