Currently, the main energies include coal, petroleum and gas, which belong to fossil fuels. Due to the large consumption of these energies and the pollution brought by them, it is quite urgent for people to explore new and replaceable renewable energies. Hydrogen, as an ideal one, is widely used for its cheap cost and zero pollution. The production of hydrogen by electrolysis water is warmly accepted. However, the presence of over potential hydrogen evolution in the process of production needs a large amount of energy. In order to decrease energy consumption increase economic efficiency, and conform to the national policy of “Conserve Energy,Reduce Emission”, it is significant to produce alloy electrode with high catalytic activity for hydrogen evolution.Nickel-based alloy is a good material for hydrogen evolution for its excellent electrochemical properties, and is widely known for the diversity of its structure and physical properties. Currently, in account of energy and geometry, the research on nickel-based alloy develops quicky for its higher activity of hydrogen evolution.Nickel-based alloy can be divided into two types according to its hydrogen evolution:nickel metal alloy and nickel non-metal alloy. This paper selects the Ni-Co-Sn,Ni-Fe-Sn alloy electrodes in electro deposition method which enjoy simple art, low cost and no environmental pollution advantages. Meanwhile, this paper also investigates the effect of metal ion concentration in plating and process condition of electro deposition on the micro structure of electrode and property of hydrogen evolution. This paper represents the structure and ingredients of the samples by means of XRD and EDS, and studies on the property of hydrogen evolution of alloy electrode in alkaline solution as well. The findings are as follows:For Ni-Co-Sn alloy electrode made in different conditions, when the bath composition of NiSO4?6H2O(0.075 M), Co SO4?7H2O(0.02M), SnSO4(0.0083 M), the deposition time t = 5 min, current density of 0.02 mA / cm2, the temperature T = 60 ?, the pH value of the bathof hydrogen evolution performance alloy electrode obtained the best 6.5. For the Ni-Fe-Sn alloy electrodes made of different conditions, when the bath composition is NiSO4?6H2O(0.075 M), FeSO4?7H2O(0.05M), SnSO4(0.0083 M), deposition time t= 5 min, a current density of 0.2 mA / cm2, the temperature T = 60 ?, properties of hydrogen electrode pH value of 8.0 was the best.
