With the rapid development of C hina’s manufacturing industry, the demand for a higher bending precision machine from the growing aerospace, automobile, military weapons, vehicles, shipbuilding, chemical, metallurgy, engineering machinery, pressure container, metal component industry is increasing sharply. The bending machine tends to be intelligentialized and large-scaled. Because of the large force on it and there are many dangerous factors in it, the bending machine is prone to accidents. The common way to improve the reliability and reduce the equipment breakdown is to make a thick margin safety according to the designer’s experience. This makes unwieldy big heavy equipment with too much design surplus, all of these bring about a higher processing difficulty and high manufacturing and transportation cost, which is a kind of waste of resources. In order to verify the reliability of large equipment and optimize its design and obtain a high cost performance, by using simulation software, the finite element analysis is made to analyze the key parts of machine, and the modular design is adopted, which can optimize the product structure, shorten the development cycle and improve the equipment reliability and performance, reduce the cost of equipment. The development success of the large level adjust three roller bending machine makes the C hina’s large bending machines depending on import history, provides a key equipment for C hina’s heavy equipment manufacturing. The influence of C hina on the world is enhanced, and these advantages has enhanced the enterprise’s competition in its field thus increase the economic benefits for the enterprise. The research and developme nt success of the product has brought many social and economic benefits.This paper firstly studies the forming mechanism of large bending machine, and the method of determining parameters and super thick steel plate forming process, and the various features of the plate bending machine, the working rollers movement and the form of main drives is classified and compared, and the paper gives their merits and drawbacks and their applicable scope of various forms bending machine, which provides a reliable reference for bending machine designer and users. Secondly, by detailed theoretical calculation, the paper has given the bending machine parameters determination method and the design theory and method of the key components. Thirdly, for the key components of W11XNC-300X3200 level adjust below bending machine: work roll, bearing body, frame and base, the stress analysis, 3D modeling and finite element analysis is made, based on them, the stress distribution of the bending machine working roller is acknowledged and the maximum deflection position of working roller is determined, and the method to reasonable layout and design support is pointed out, the base stress concentration area is also found. According to the results from all of these analyses, the paper has put forward the optimal design scheme of the base, and has designed the unreasonable places of the key components based on the finite element simulation analysis in an optimized way.
