The heating performance, temperature difference, wind speed, quality of cured tobacco leaves, temperature characteristics during 3 stages of curing and energy consumption were studied as well as compared with HDS- 6 type stove to explore application effects in bulk curing-barn of two kinds of new type stove manufactured by the way of "non-metallic furnace + metal radiator" in bulk curing. and to gather data foundation for its popularization. The results are as follows:1? The rate of heat providing turn out to be slow, temperature stability improved after new stoves installed in curing-barn. When the barn is idle, the new-type dual and single heat exchanger body stoves curing barn heating rate were slower than that of which installed HDS- 6 type stoves, declined by 2.21 ?· h-1,2.83 ?· h-1 respectively, but both greater than 3?·h-1. Compared with HDS- 6 type stoves curing barn, new stoves have a slower cooling speed, dual and single heat exchanger body stoves temperature cooling speed were declined by 0.72?·h-1,0.36?·h-1 respectively; while the barn is full with curing temperature are about 55 ?, after stop feeding 3 h, temperatures of dual, single heat exchanger body stove decreased 0.6 ?, 1.3 ? are both less than 2.5 ? of HDS- 6 type stove curing. 2? New stoves made no difference to temperatures, wind speeds of curing barn. In the idle test, there was no significant difference between the vertical and level temperature difference, and both are less than 2 ?. There are no significant difference between wind speeds of new-type dual?single heat exchanger body stoves and HDS-6 type stoves curing barn in bulk curing barn. 3? According to analysis of temperature curve during the curing process of lower part tobacco leaves, we found that the temperature curves of new stoves curing barn are more smooth, concave and convex points are less than that of HDS- 6 type stove. It is easy to control when the temperature speed is a bit slow; it is advantageous in tobacco curing when the temperature was stable constantly. 4?The quality of cured tobacco leaves improved with the applying of new stoves in curing barn and higher quality raw materials are available to cigarette industries. Compared with control, rates of middle and superior class of cured tobacco leaves of newly manufactured stoves increased by 3~5%; Average price increased by 0.3~0.5 yuan. The main chemical compositions in tobacco leaves have no difference, and theirs coordination are better, petroleum ether extract content increased about 0.1 ~ 0.5%; Internal quality scored more 0.2 ~ 1 points. Performance of dual heat exchanger body stove is superior to single heat exchanger body stove. 5?Compared with CK, coal consumption decreased, heat efficiency improved after applying of new-type stoves. Coal saving rates which calculating by per kilogram dry tobacco leaves of new stoves in curing barn are 12.28% ~ 17.86%. Comprehensive heat efficiency of newly manufactured stoves are 1.14 ~ 1.22 times higher than that of HDS-6 type stoves. And dual heat exchanger body stove has a lower coal consumption, higher heat efficiency in the two new stoves.
