Quartz crystal structure is analyzed which is main gangue mineral in in silicon calcium phosphate rock in Guizhou. The result showed that the two kinds of quartz samples all belong to low temperature quartz(alpha quartz), crystal grain size is relatively bulky, crystal structure is stable. Refinement calculated crystal cell parameters are slightly higher than the theoretical value, the reason is: Al element replaces Si element in the same phase, with the introduction of interstitial impurity K and Na which radius is larger, made the cell parameters getting larger. The molecular simulation results showed that there is a c axis hole field in the quartz crystal structure. The energy of each crystal surface is not quite different. If the(111) crystal surface is exposed, the surface will form strong electronegativity of bridge oxygen which become the surface active points. After Al doped quartz crystal, the conductivity and cell parameters are enhanced. It shows the stable electrical property in the perfect crystal structure. Al doping makes the surrounding O elements' activity is increased.Through the micro flotation, the effect of collector, adjustment agent and metal ions on quartz collophane floatability is inspected. And the quartz and collophane flotation separation reagent regime is achieved. Cationic collector adsorbs on the surface of quartz more easily than anionic collector. Under the condition of the best effect of collector AY, the floatability of 2# is better 1# quartz's. ZB and phosphate(mixed acid) hybrid are mixed as cellophane depressant, the mixed acid have no effect on quartz. It has weak depressed effect on 2 # quartz. Retrofit ether amine starch WEH can effectively activate quartz. It makes the bluyance rate achieved 65 % between collophane and quartz.Quartz flotation surface properties were analyzed. There is the difference between two quartz of surface morphology. Collector AY acts better on the high surface roughness of quartz. Quartz crystal surface has trace impurity elements such as Al, Mg and K. With crystal structure analysis result showed that the doping of Al element activates quartz. The density of Al element is higher, quartz floatability is the greater. Collector AY enhanced quartz surface hydrophobicity. The quartz pulp of the collector AY activity is higher than collophane's. Quartz surface electronegativity is strong, zero isoelectric point is low. Under the condition of weak acid using cationic collector AY on the flotation effect is better. Doped Al element impacts quartz surface electrical. The Al element combined O element hydrolysis easily in the pulp, leaving a large number of negatively charged area. The form Al element of 2 # quartz surface is in the transition form active higher Al2 p to Al3 p. Collector AY makes C, Si, Al and O of quartz surface changed. It illuminated collector AY is acted weak chemical adsorption on the quartz surface. Infrared spectral analysis further confirmed the collector AY mainly acted physical adsorption and chemical adsorption on quartz. It also indicated that the collophane mainly exists in the form of physical adsorption. Adsorption quantity of 2# quartz is higher than 1#quartz'sBased on crystal structure analysis, micro-flotation test and surface properties analysis, the results show that quartz crystal structure can affect the difference of floatability and surface properties. It's meaningful for decreasing the silicon minerals from the silicon-calcium phosphate rock.
