Quartz is an important industrial mineral raw material.China is a large demand for quartz.It is important to actively and effectively exploring the production of high purity quartz sand purification process to produce high-quality high-purity or ultra-high purity quartz sand.For the flotation of quartz ore,new collectors were synthesized.The anionic collectors are N-(4-methyl phenyl)-α-aminobenzyl phosphonic acid,TS and TZ(self-made and named).Cationic collectors are benzaldehyde melamine,dodecylamine and octadecylamine hydrochloride and acetate.TS and TZ were synthesized by using waste oil and plant asphalt as the raw material has better flotation effect,wide raw material source,low cost,simple and green process.Jiangxi Ji’an quartz mine is quartzite,the main impurity is feldspar and iron gangue mineral.The flotation process was studied by using oxalic acid as pH adjusting agent,TS as anionic collector and dodecylamine hydrochloride as cation collector.The results of"A bold five fine"test showed that the concentrate grade was 99.62%,the yield was 87.58%,the recovery rate was 92.78%,the Al2O3 grade was 0.30%,the Fe2O3 grade was65.67ppm(1ppm=0.0001%),and the concentrate index was good.Acid leaching the ore,the concentrate SiO2 grade of"a rough two fine"test was 99.78%,the yield was 87.89%,the recovery rate was 93.25%,the Al2O3 grade was 0.24%,the Fe2O3 grade was 45.67ppm,the index was better,indicating that the acid leaching was conducive to upgrading the concentrate indicators,and the process was more simple,and there was a certain industrial prospects.Guangdong quartz mine is quartz sand mine,the main impurities is the kaolin and a small amount of iron gangue minerals.The flotation process test of Guangdong quartz ore was carried out,and the optimum flotation process and pharmacy system were established.The results of"A bold five fine"test showed that the concentrate grade was 99.89%,the yield was 91.17%,the recovery rate was 93.44%,the Al2O3 grade was 0.15%,the Fe2O3grade was 43.29ppm,the concentrate index was good,the process was simple and there was certain industrial application prospect.Study on mechanism of mineral purification:(1)SEM shows that calcination can remove many of the impurity minerals in the quartz ore.(2)Zeta potential:at pH<3,dodecylamine hydrochloride will reduce the Zeta potential of feldspar;at pH<5,dodecylamine hydrochloride will increase the Zeta potential of kaolin,but the Zeta potential of quartz were not significantly affected.So feldspar and kaolin can be separated from the quartz with hydrochloric acid dodecylamine as a collector.(3)The IR spectrums show that the absorption peak of the water molecules in the quartz ore is weakened and the water content is reduced,which can improve the quality of the quartz glass.The dodecylamine hydrochloride does not adsorb on the quartz surface,but adsorb on the surface of feldspar and kaolin under certain conditions.So feldspar and kaolin which is gangue minerals can be separated from the quartz by the flotation test.
