Along with the further application of advanced information technologies such as the Internet of things, big data, cloud computing and mobile Internet in manufacturing industry, cloud manufacturing has become a networked manufacturing new model to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional machine tool enterprise, supporting the central control for the distributed resources and the demand service for the central resources. And how to implement the semantic description and service access of the wide area, heterogeneous, dispersing machine tool resources uniformly is basic theory of technology problems to further popularization and application of cloud manufacturing mode. Based on the domestic and foreign research results, some exploration and research on the modeling, description, encapsulation, and virtual access technologies of machine tool resources in cloud manufacturing environment have been done in this paper.Firstly, on the basis of analyzing the types, properties and characteristics of machine tool resources in cloud manufacturing environment, a technical implementation framework is proposed for modeling and description of the machine tool resources in cloud manufacturing environment including ontology modeling, semantic description, service encapsulation and cloud access of machine tool resources.Secondly, based on the above implementation framework, the key technologies of the modeling and description theory of the machine tool resources involved have been studied, which mainly includes: the ontology of machine tool resource in cloud manufacturing environment was established, and the ontology modeling method of machine tool resource was put forward; the semantic description method for the machine tool resource based on XML was put forward and the ontology model description rules was established; the encapsulate framework of machine tool resource was proposed, a service encapsulation method of machine tool equipment resource based on WSRF was researched; the SOA-based cloud access technology of machine tool resource was studied to support the registration and release of machine tool resource in cloud manufacturing environment.Finally, a set of machine tool cloud manufacturing service resource management support system was designed and developed, the application and verification of above research results has carried on preliminarily and has obtained the good application effects.
