The block brush-like copolymers rapidly self-assemble through simple controlled evaporation to the flexible photonic crystal materials with tunable mechanical properties and chemical properties. This article carries on the preparation of P(N-PGA)-b-P(N-PS) diblock brush-like copolymers as the precursor materials of the flexible photonic crystal.The well-defined block brush-like copolymers were synthesized by ring opening metathesis polymerization using two kinds of macromonomers including N-PGA and N-PS, with Grubbs catalyst. N-PGA were synthesized via ring-opening polymerization,exo-HNDI as the initiator,glycolide as the monomer; N-PS were synthesized via ATRP,exo-CNDI as the initiator, styrene as the monomer, Cu(I)Cl/PMDETA as the catalytic system.The products were characterized by IR and NMR. N-PGA and N-PS were characterized by GPC, the results showed that they contained narrow molecular weight distributions. The block brush-like copolymers with Mn<4896kDa were characterized by SEM, and the order was simply achieved; Characterized by DR, the results showed that the wavelength of reflectance is linearly related to the block brush-like copolymers' molecular weight, what's more,it can be up to 832nm; Characterized by TG, the thermal stability of the block brush-like copolymers was excellent.
