In this thesis, CuO-doped nano-SnO2/TiO2 composite gelatins were prepared by Sol-Gel method, coated onto glass substrates by spin coating method, followed by drying at low temperature and calcined at high temperature, the pure TiO2 film, mixed and terrace forms of SnO2/Ti O2 composite films contained CuO or not were all obtained as well. The influence on the structure and properties made by doping amount, calcine temperature and composite form was discussed about. The film samples were characterized by XRD,SEM,TEM, EDS and UV-Vis, the photocatalysis degradation efficiency was studied by using methyl orange as probe. The results showed the CuO-doped SnO2/Ti O2 composite films were anatase structure, the surface of all film samples were flat and close without obvious crack and average diameter was about 20 nm, well-distributed and firm. EDS indicated that Cu was successfully introduced to the SnO2/TiO2 composite films; UV-Vis showed the CuO-doping made the absorbance of SnO2/TiO2 films at visible region increased comparing to pure TiO2,duing to the special structure and energy status.The degradation experiment under UV-Vis light showed photocatalysis degradation efficiency of Cu-doped SnO2/TiO2 films was higher compared to the pure TiO2 films,and the degradation efficiency of stacking structure was higher than the mixed structure obviously. When doping amount of CuO increased to 10%?the amount of material?, the photocatalysis degradation efficiency of glass/ SnO2/TiO2: CuO reached to maximum.
