The reactive type dropirng agent F was synthesized. Its chemical structure were characterized by means of Fourier transform infrared?FTIR? spectroscopy proved that it contains double bond, carbonyl and hydroxyl. The copolymer was obtained by pre-irradiated and reactive extruder. Grafting-copolymerization of linear low density polyethylene?LLDPE?with F was carried out by using ? ray irradiation in air in a twin-screw extruder. FTIR was used to characterize the formation of grafting copolymer after purification. Comparing with the FTIR spectrum of ir-LLDPE, the grafting copolymer show two peaks at 1736 cm-1and3465 cm-1, which are attributed to carbonyl?C=O? and hydroxyl?-OH?, meanwhile the double bond?C=C? disappear. This indicated that the reactive type dropping agent F has been reacted onto LLDPE molecular chain. FTIR was used to characterize the formation of grafting copolymer and evaluate their degree of grafting. The effects of reaction temperature reaction time and ratio of the material on degree of grafting were studied systematicall. It was found that the degree of grafting increased with increasing monomer concentration and reaction temperature. The tensile, light transmission and thermal properties were determined.Compared with pure LLDPE, no disadvantages were found. The wettability of films was expressed by water contact angle. With an increasing content of monomer, the contact angle of water on films is decrease then increase. The blends of M/EVA/ir-LLDPE were observed by tensile, light transmission, thermal properties, contact angles and accelerating flow drop experiment at high temperature. There is only a significant increase in the accelerating dropping day. Research into this problem is of significance in practical application and has some reference value for the similar research along.
