Self-cleaning filter is used to automatically separate solid particle from liquid by means of special device. As comparing with normal filter, it has the advantages of no mesh replacement, higher automation, less pressure lose, less leakage, easier operation, higher efficiency. Following the development of self-cleaning technology, self-cleaning filter has been comprehensively applied into all kinds of fields, such as agriculture, industry, municipality, sea water desalination.In current market, self-cleaning filter is designed with complicated structure and big volume applied to low viscosity and single liquid. One new way of self-cleaning is designed and studied in this article by means of blasting mesh to clean impurity mixed in liquid. The filter has easier structure to be completely cleaned. It can be used to different products and suitable to high viscosity liquid, such as ink, painting, medicine, pesticide, cosmetics.Firstly, structure of back-blasting unit and impurity draining unit of back-blasting filter are designed. Secondly, the main pressured parts are analyzed by ANSYS software. Flow field of back-blasting is analyzed, different guide plates are designed and compared according to numerical analysis of finite element theory. At last, one back-blasting filter is manufactured to do the trial with silicon product according to the study and design. The trial results verify that the design of back-blasting filter is fit to remove all impurity, increase efficiencies, reduce cost, reduce waste and be convenient for operation.This study offers some new ideas for improving self-cleaning filter, benefits filter to expand application field and drive development of industry technology.
