II Fiber Metal Laminates(FMLs) as a kind of hybrid composites has been widely used in the aerospace field due to their high specific strength, high specific stiffness and excellent fatigue performance. However, they can't meet the needs of different structural parts with the further development of aerospace materials. Having high specific strength, stiffness and excellent cushioning performance, Ti/C_f/PEEK/Ti laminate tubes can make up the deficiency of fiber metal laminates in practical application with a broad application prospect. In this paper, the following studies were mainly carried out on the process and performance of the modified Cf/PEEK prepreg and the Ti/C_f/PEEK/Ti laminate tubes:(1) Wet arrangement preparation was used to prepare the modified Cf/PEEK prepreg. Through the observation of surface quality of Cf/PEEK prepreg and the testing of tensile properties and interlayer shear properties of Cf/PEEK composites, the effect of different distribution speeds, width of the yarn and arrangement tension on the prepreg property was studied respectively. The best process parameters of the wet arrangement preparation were determined.(2) By combining the force analysis and theoretical calculation of the hydroforming process of Ti/C_f/PEEK/Ti laminate tube, the hydroforming process of Ti/C_f/PEEK/Ti laminate tube was verified and critical pressure value of the hydroforming was obtained. According to the requirement of the hrdroforming process, the mold and the sealing device were designed accordingly. The rupture of the weld line on the TA2 tube was solved in the process of hydroforming after heat treatment, and the effect of loading path on the hydroforming process was performed. Moreover, the best loading path was also determined concerning the combination of theoretical analysis and experimental results.(3) The axial tensile strength and interlaminar shear strength of Ti/C_f/PEEK/Ti laminate tubes were performed in accordance with the relative standards, and the axial compressive strength and impact absorption work were obtained by analyzing three kinds of specimens oriented in 0°, 45°and 90° layers. The results showed that, the axial compressive strength and impact absorption work for the specimens oriented in 0° layer are the best, after taking all testing results into consideration. But for the specimens oriented in 45° layer, the axial compressive strength of Ti/C_f/PEEK/Ti laminate tubes are much higher than that oriented in 90° layer, while for the impact absorption work the value is smaller than the latter. By comparing the axial compressive stress-strain curve of TA2 and Ti/C_f/PEEK/Ti laminate tubes with three orientation structures, the enhancement effect of carbon fiber on Ti/C_f/PEEK/Ti laminate tubes are not so obvious for the specimens oriented in 45° and 90° layers while the enhancement effect of carbon fiber on Ti/C_f/PEEK/Ti laminate tubes are very obvious for the specimens oriented in 0° layer.
