Waterborne epoxy resin coatings without organic solventcan form the film which is permeable to air but impermeable to water. This property overcome the drawbacks of solvent based epoxy resin coating. The research of waterborne epoxy resin coatings system without volatile organic compounds?VOC? orhazardous air pollutants?HAP? has been a hot topic around the world.Recently, the study on epoxy resin coatingin our country was mainly about preparation methods of waterborne epoxy resin and modification of epoxy resin and curing agent. The exploration of the influence of different components on properties and the study on wear resistance modification with inorganic fillers wereof a great significance in the application of waterborne epoxy resin coating.Epoxy resin can hardly be uniformly dispersed in water with itshydrophobic polymer chain and this character leads to high porosity of waterborne epoxy resin coating film. Compared to solvent-based epoxy resin coatings, waterborne epoxy resin coatings has lower mechanical properties. As a floor coating,waterborne epoxy resin coating hasa good adhesion property, but the hardness and strength of epoxy resin are much lower than inorganic fillers that leads to lower wear resistance of epoxy resin films. In this article,waterborne epoxy resin coating formulais optimized and waterborne epoxy resin coating film is modified with different inorganic fillers to improve the wear-resistance ability.The experimental study on optimization of the waterborne epoxy resin coating formula showed that when epoxy amino ratio was 1:1.3, pigment binder ratio was 0.5, wetting agent content was 0.70%, dispersant agent content was 0.56%, thickening agent content was 1.12%, and deforming agent content was 0.94%, the film of waterborne epoxy resin met requirement indicators and optimal wear-resistance at same time. The increase of quartz sand content in the middle layer led to the decrease of compressive and bonding strength of epoxy mortar. The mechanical properties mutation of epoxy mortar occurred at quartz sand content of 300%. When the quartz sand content was 300% and the weight of quartz sand was 30 mesh: 60 mesh =1:1, epoxy mortar met optimal compressive and bonding strength. The compressive strength was 23.51 MPa and the bonding strength was 1.12 MPa.The study of improving wear-resistance of waterborne epoxy resin coating film with different fillers showed that the optimal fineness of inorganic fillers was 200-300 mesh.Film with white corundum?Al2O3? had best wear-resistance compared with film with corundum?SiC? and quartz powder?SiO2?. When PVC was 35%, the wear weight loss value of the film with white corundum?Al2O3? decreased by 62.5% compared with the control group. Silane coupling agent KH-560 can modify the surface modification of Al2O3, enhance the binding force of inorganic filler and epoxy resin matrix and mechanical properties of the film. When Silane coupling agent KH-560 concentration was 2%, the amount of grafting reached the maximum. When PVC was 35%, the wear weight loss value of the film with white corundum?Al2O3? modified by KH-560 decreased by 16.7%compared with film with white corundum?Al2O3?.
