Risk-based inspection methods (Risk-Based Inspection referred RBI) is a risk assessment and optimization of test method, which taking into account system security and economy, which combines risk and inspection frequency of equipment effectively, and the equipment are classified according to the level of risk. In order to optimize the allocation of resources, high-risk equipment are focused on, and higher frequency is more effective in monitoring and maintenance for those high-risk equipment. Using the RBI can ensure the safety of the equipment operation, and reduce the cost of the equipment operation. In this paper, we used the standard of GB/T26610-2014, combined with the actual situation of the southern suburbs of Qin Gas Stored and Distributed Plant, quantitative risk analysis on the storage and distribution plant tanks and pipes. The main results of this paper are as follows:1. This paper has made a comprehensive introduction on inspection technology risk which based on system pressure equipment, it contains the specific steps for the implementation of the RBI, the possibility of failure, the consequences of failure, inspection strategy formulation and so on.2. In the storage and distribution plant, the evaluation results shows that four tanks took on 87.6% risk of the whole station, so in actual production should devote more resources to carry out routine monitoring and maintenance of the tank to ensure the smooth and safe operation of equipment.3. Make different inspection plans and maintenance strategies for storage tanks and pipelines in different risk areas.4. For the management system evaluation of the storage and distribution plant management and field problems and potential accidents, this paper put forward some suggestions on safety production.
