WEDM is widely used in various industrial manufacturing fields,especially in the era of rapid development of technology,EDM technology has been applied in the mold processing industry,automobile manufacturing industry and the aerospace industry's each field.It is suitable for the precision machining of complex parts,the manufacture of special cutting tools,hard materials,including hard materials and other materials,in particular,can be processed ceramics.Water mist in the advantages of many EDM,and liquid processing than the discharge gap is moderate,the surface of the processing precision than the liquid and the use of cleaning process without any harmful substances;compared with gas processing,the water Fog has a certain degree of insulation,in the protection of the workpiece on the basis of a reduction in the loss of electrode wire and so on.In this paper,a brief overview of the mechanism of EDM,a comprehensive analysis of domestic and foreign roughing,finishing the research situation,and EDM simulation aspects of the study were outlined.Based on the analysis of the temperature field,the theoretical model of the electrochemical corrosion pits was obtained by simulating the single-pulse EDM in gas.The influence of the thickness of the white layer and the volume of the eroded pits on the pits is considered in the analysis of the model.The method of the uniform placement of the pits and the calculation of the total number of the pits are theoretically And the superposition state of the pits is predicted.Finally,the erosion volume calculation method of WEDM is established,and the theoretical erosion volume is tested by experiments.The accuracy of the model and the reliability of the erosion volume calculation method are verified.This is very important for predicting the volume of eutectic volume during roughing.In the high-speed wire-drawing machine,the water mist and electric spark rough cutting sheet is researched,the contrast experiment of atmosphere,water mist and emulsion medium is carried out,and the influence of different media on the wirecutting process index is obtained.A single factor experiment was carried out to test the single factor in the water mist.The single factor experiment was conducted with the pulse interval ratio,peak current,table feed rate,pulse width and thickness.The rough range of parameters and the influence of basic parameters on the thickness of thin plate.A set of rules for the roughness of water mist is proposed,and the processing efficiency is greatly improved.The optimal value of the parameters is obtained by orthogonal test.
