GF/PP composite was prepared, and the modification of MAPP to the interface of GF-PP was investigated. The modification of MAPP introduced to the interface was researched by two methods:MAPP added into the resin directly, was migrated and combined onto to the GF surface during impregnation; and MAPP was introduced to the GF surface with priority during pre-impregnation which is called pre-impregnating method. The mechanical properties of composites prepared by such two ways and interfacial properties between GF-PP were investigated The effect of modified resin modality including powder and film on coating glass fiber was discussed. The effect of modified resin consisted in solution and emulsion on coating glass fiber was compared also. It showed that resin powder melt was more easily coated on glass fiber surface comparing to resin film melt. Resin could coat to glass fiber surface well by emulsion pre-impregnation, while resin solution was not so well. The effect of modification in GF-PP interface by pre-impregnation was close to that modification by direct impregnation but lower total MAPP loading based on the matrix PP. Meanwhile, the modification effect would reduce if there was no heat to give bonding between MAPP and GF but mechanically mixed during the pre-impregnation...
