The Application Of The Color Of Needlework In The Southern China In Design Of Modern Home Textile

Coloration has been accepted by a lot of people of insight with its splendid performance in many fields.It is also self-evident that it's important for home textile industry,which is said seventy percent for color and thirty percent for pattern.With the improvement of material standard of living and people's developing consumer demand,modern home textiles have been improving from the fundamental using function to satisfying people's spiritual needs.Home textile designers do their best to strengthen the infectivity of products by using suitable colors and work out designs of different color styles to be accepted by consumers.This has already been an important trend of home textile market.As excellent culture of our nation,needlework has been being the origin of inspiration for designers at home and abroad.Needlework in the Southern China is a unique part of it.It has been nourished by the gentle breeze and mild rain in the Southern China.Smart local women also incorporate some elements,such as geographical conditions and architectural styles into the colors of their designs cleverly.Beautiful colors with high brightness and low pureness suit the picturesque scenery in the south area.The black head cloths,waist dress and embroidered shoes are blended with buildings with black bricks in the watery region.The elaborately embroidered vivid lucky pattern and delicate pipping technology decorate the whole work and make it exquisite and harmonious.It has mild colors with natural beauty.And it explains the art theory that the division comes in a psycho perfectly.With the acceleration of industrialization process,needlework in the Southern China is gradually disappearing from people's eyesight.As a designer who witnesses that the precious origin is losing,the author feels so sorry for it and thinks it's her duty to make contribution to the study and protection of traditional culture.This paper mainly talks about colors of needlework in the Southern China,explaining its cultural connotation from different angles,for instance,the local natural ecology,the development of needlework in the Southern China,the customs in the Southern China and so on.It chose some representative woks and deeply analyzed and studied its color style features,the relationship between colors and technologies and the relationship between colors and patterns.Besides,the author collected patterns of embroidered pouches through practice,extracted its colors and worked out a set of chromatography which is focused on the colors of embroidered pouches in t the Southern China.In the end,the author combined practice and theory,summarized and analyzed ways to apply colors of needlework in the Southern China to modern home textiles.Its purposes are hoping this can remind people of protection and inheritance of colors of needlework in the south area,making up for the gap of the theory of colors of needlework in the Southern China in modern home textiles design and offering some reference for home textiles designers.During the long period of making needlework,women in the Southern China have accumulated abundant experience and formed the aesthetic value which belongs to t the Southern China.Applying colors in the Southern China to home textiles design will do good to improve the value of domestic home textiles brand.Its methods to arrange colors also deserve to be learned and to be used for reference by designers.Hope this paper can make home textiles designers pay attention to national colors and use it more often in their designs.
