A systematic laboratory research was performed to investigate the passive method of cVMS and BTEX,include nine target compounds D4(octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane),D5(decamethylcyclopentasiloxane),D6(dodecamethylcyclohexasiloxane);Styrene,Toluene,Ethylbenzene,m,p-Xylene,Trimethyl Benzene,Benzene on thermal desorption tubes filled with 200 mg Tenax TA.A passive sampling method system of TD tube(Tenax TA)was established,the LOD and LOQ(?g tube-1)of cVMS and BTEX were from 4.49E-07 to 3.43E-06 and from 1.50E-06 to 1.14E-05 respectively;passive sampling rate(ml/min)were 0.28-1.46;t25 and t95(d)were10-51 and 101-532 respectively;sampling efficiency(lab/ideal)were 0.5-2.78;the relationship between the experimentally determined mass of cVMS and BTEX in this study and the storage time,can be described as the Boltzmann function,where R2 0.92-0.98.The relationship of concentration of cVMS and BTEX in home,office and outdoor air between passive sampling method and active sampling method fitting formula y=0.8033x+0.156,Rz=0.8893,active and passive monitoring method matching degree up to 89%.The air of living,car,garage,outdoor(Li-home and Xiong-home);the male dormitory,female dormitory,student office,teacher office,outdoor(university environment);crew,main engine,auxiliary engine(ship environment)were studied for cVMS and BTEX by this method,analyzed data and get the components and source of target compounds.In home,the concentration of cVMS in Xiong home were Significantly higher than Li home,especially the concentration of D5 is higher than one order of magnitude,the concentration of BTEX in Xiong home were significantly lower than Li home,in addition to the concentration of styrene and benzene were less than one order of magnitude.In university,the concentration of cVMS in female dormitory were higher than other sampling points,especially the concentration of D5 was 192 times higher than outdoor,the concentration of BTEX in female dormitory were higher than other sampling points,The toluene was 22.86 times higher than the concentration at outdoor.In ship environment,the concentration of D4 and D5 in auxiliary engine room was the highest,however the concentration of D6 in crew was the highest,and the concentration of BTEX in main engine room was the highest,followed by the crew,finally was auxiliary engine room.By the method of ratio analysis,personal care products,coatings and the use of solvent made a contribution to influence the concentration of cVMS in the environment,and transportation,and burning of oxidation activities had larger contribution to the BTEX.Non cancer risk evaluation for D5,Styrene,Toluene,Ethylbenzene,m,p-Xylene,Benzene showed that only the hazard quotient(HQ)of benzene was 1.35E+00>1 for the main engine room,and cancer risk evaluation for benzene showed that risk was all>1E-06 for Li-living,Xiong-living,male dormitory,female dormitory,crew,office,main engine room,auxiliary engine room,respectively,indicating that benzene in main engine room had appreciable adverse non-cancer health risk for the exposed population,and benzene in these study indoor areas had appreciate adverse cancer health risks for the exposed population.
