Graphene is an ideal reinforcement which has excellent properties and unique structure.Graphene reinforced aluminum matrix composites and CNT reinforced aluminum matrix composites are respectively prepared by ultrasonic process.And the performances of the composites are respectively tested by electronic tensile testing machine and high-temperature friction and wear tester.The composites are analyzed and characterized by SEM,EDS,XRD and TEM.0.2wt%?0.3wt%?0.4wt%?0.5wt%?0.6wt%?0.8wt%?1.Owt%graphene/AI and CNT/AI composites are successfully prepared by ultrasonic process.The reinforcement is uniformly dispersed in composites and has good contact with AI when the mass fraction is ?0.5wt%.When the mass fraction exceeds 0.5wt%,agglomeration of the reinforcement appears.The tensile strength of 0.2wt%?0.3wt%?0.4wt%?0.5wt%?0.6wt%graphene/Al composites is respectively 78MPa?84MPa?95MPa?232MPa?212MPa.The tensile strength of graphene/Al composites increases firstly and then decreases with the increase of graphene content,when graphene content is 0.5wt%,the tensile strength reaches the highest,which(232 MPa)is 262.5%higher than that of the unreinforced Al(64MPa).The tensile strength of 0.2wt%?0.3wt%?0.4wt%?0.5wt%?0.6wt%CNT/Al composites is respectively 83MPa?113MPa?130MPa?227MPa?214MPa.When CNT content is 0.5wt%,the tensile strength reaches 227 MPa,254.7%higher than Al(64MPa).However,the percentage elongation after fracture of composites is slightly lower than Al.The wear-resisting property is vastly improved with the addition of graphene and CNT.The wear rate of the graphene/Al and CNT/Al composites both decreases firstly and then increases with the increase of graphene and CNT content.And when the reinforcement content is 0.5wt%,the wear rate of the graphene/Al and CNT/AI composites reaches the lowest.Besides,the wear rate of the graphenc/AI and CNT/Al composites both decreases firstly and then increases with the increase of sliding linear velocity.The wear rate reaches the lowest when the sliding linear velocity is 0.6m/s.Moreover,the wear rate of the graphene/Al and CNT/Al composites both increases with the increasing load.
