In our country,people have the increasing demand for motor vehicles with the rapid development of economy,and It promotes the booming of the auto industry,the transportation industry and the related industries.The tyres as motor vehicle accessories,it has led the rubber industry.Meanwhile,the industry of tire production and tire equipment manufacturing has become an important part of the automation industry.The current,our country in a p.eriod for industrial structure transition.The tire industry as a traditional manufacturing,it is also under this situation.To make the tire industry more intelligent,more integration and more networking,the approach has become the key solution under the period for industrial structure transition.Building machine is indispensable equipment in tyre manufacturing production lines,and the stitcher device is an important part of building machine equipment.The research object is the stitcher device in this paper.The research based on the integrated architecture of Rockwell ControlLogix and the development platform of LABVIEW.Use the "IPC +PLC" architecture development of control system for stitcher device.The control system using NURBS interpolation algorithm based on the development platform of LABVIEW,and it control stitcher device by integrated architecture of Rockwell ControlLogix.The interpolation algorithm is NURBS(the Non-Uniform Rational B-spline).It has been widely used in the engineering field.It combine standard quadratic curve and free curve to overcome the disadvantages of the Bezier method and B-spline method.At the same time,the power factor and Non-uniform node vector can effectively definition the curve and surface.In this paper,the purpose of control system for avoid manual operation stitcher device,and it makes the process more automatic.It not only save time,but also improve the quality of products.Through testing and running in industrial field,The results show that the control system of stitcher device works smoothly.Moreover,the tire products have good quality under the system control.The control system of stitcher device more intelligent,better products and more save time compared with the traditional stitcher device.This research can provide an actual reference of applying virtual instrument in large-scale machinery.Meanwhile,this research can promoting the NURBS interpolation algorithm apply to automation industry.
