With the development of manufacturing technology,the automotive industry,which has become one of the most important matter of country's industrial development,is receiving more and more attention.Cylinder block is one of the most important part of engine,so that the manufacturing process has significant impact on the performance of the vehicle.Cutting parameters are the core of the manufacturing process,and the optimized cutting parameters have important significance on improving product quality,reducing processing costs and improving production efficiency.The cutting database management system,which covers the main cutting information,is an important way to realize the integrated management of cutting data and the paperless office.This article mainly studies the optimizations of cutting parameters for different machining targets according to the milling process of alloy cast iron for cylinder block.Furthermore,combining with the optimized cutting parameters,the cutting database is developed.The main researches contents are listed as follows:(1)In this paper,tool wear in face milling of alloy cast iron under constant material removal volume(MRV)condition was investigated and the cutting parameters optimization was taken.Firstly the relationship between tool flank wear(VB)and MRV was determined with the help of preliminary experimental.Secondly the wear was analyzed according to the experiment,which indicated the main wear mechanisms are diffusion and oxidation.Meanwhile,a model between VB and the cutting parameters under the constant MRV condition during milling HTCuCrSn-250 was proposed.Finally the optimization was taken based on NSGA-II.(2)Some researches were carried out in allusion to the surface quality in the ball-end milling process.Initially,a surface topography simulation model in ball-nose milling was built with the use of mathematical.Furthermore,based on response surface methodology(RSM),the influence rule,which indicated the surface topography was only impacted by feed per tooth and radial depth was analyzed.Finally,a mathematical model between the ratio and product feed per tooth and radial depth was established and the optimal and verification works were taken.(3)With the analysis of demand for the cylinder block processing technology and the cutting database,the management object and mode of the cutting database management system was determined.With the use of the method of data flow graph,the system structure,the business process and the system architecture have been designed.The database was set up using SQL Server 2008,and under the environment of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010,the design of cutting database management system was built.The debugging indicated that the major operation were feasibility.This research can help to choose the optimal cutting parameters to gather better object.The cutting database management system is very important to the information digitization management in manufacturing enterprises.
