In order to improve the problem of low mechanical strength,poor heat resistance, thermal stable properties, tribological properties and anti electrostatic performance of the wood plastic composite, the use of glass fiber and graphite to improve the comprehensive performance of WPC and given its special function,investigate the effect laws of glass fiber content or graphite and glass fiber on the properties of high density polyethylene ?HDPE? wood plastic composites,the surfaces of bamboo flour or rice straw powder were modified by A-171 silane coupling agent and a certain amount of glass fiber or a certain proportion of graphite and glass fiber were added firstly. Then, HDPE wood plastic composites were prepared by hot pressing technology. Finally, the influence of glass fiber content or graphite and glass fiber on the electrical properties,mechanical properties, thermal properties and tribological behaviors of the composites were observed, and the morphologies of fracture surfaces and worn surfaces were observed by SEM,Wear surface roughness measurement using 3D surface profiler,The main results are as follows:?1?Effects of glass fiber content on properties of HDPE wood plastic compositeswhen the glass fiber content is 3wt%, the tensile strength and flexural strength of bamboo flour/HDPE composites can be enhanced significantly; comparing with composite without adding glass fiber, the tensile strength and flexural strength of composites increase by 19.41% and 23.54% respectively after the addition of glass fiber. The coefficient of linear expansion alone the length-width direction of composites decreases obviously with the glass fiber content increasing during the temperature range of 30-60?, while the coefficient of linear thermal of the same composite gradually increases with the temperature increasing. In N2 atmosphere, with the of glass fiber content increasing, the friction coefficient of bamboo flour/HDPE composites increases gradually at first and then almost remains unchanged, and the wear rate decreases gradually. The conclusions obtained show that the wood plastic composite products with the glass fiber content of 3wt%-7wt% are suitable for construction beams?such as pavilions or bridges et al?, while the wood plastic composite products with the glass fiber content of 7wt%-10wt%are suitable for the ground pavement for places with large flow of people ?such as park or recreational greenway et al?.?2?Effect of graphite and glass fiber on properties of HDPE based wood plastic compositesThe material begins to form a conductive path,when Graphite and glass fiber with a ratio of 8:7,When the ratio of graphite and glass fiber is 8:7?14:1, the material was static dissipative material, and the surface friction static electricity was small fluctuation in OV; With the increase of graphite content and the decrease of the content of glass fiber, the friction coefficient of the material is decreasing, and the thermal conductivity of the material is increasing,When the ratio of graphite and glass fiber was 14:1, the thermal conductivity of the composites was the largest, which increased by 138% compared with that of the graphite; When the graphite and glass fiber ratio for 10:5, tensile strength and flexural strength of the composites reached the maximum; Under the condition of 30 to 70 degrees C, the expansion coefficient of the length and width of rice straw powder/HDPE composites increased with the increase of graphite content and the decrease of glass fiber content. When the ratio of graphite and glass fiber is 8:7, the thermal expansion coefficient of the composites is the least,at the same time, the linear expansion coefficient of the same component increases with the increase of temperature.The ratio of graphite and glass fiber for 0:15 or 8:7 of HDPE based wood plastic composite products suitable for large flow of places of the ground pavement, such as parks, pedestrian street and other places of the floor;HDPE based wood plastic composite products of graphite and glass fiber ratio for 10:5 for anti-static ground, such as computer rooms, electronic products, textile products and other places.
