Polyester?PET?non-woven fabrics is usually used as separating material and fabric material,but with poor hydrophilicity,PET non-woven fabrics has some limitations in the field of water solution filtration.In this study,according to the structural characteristics and properties of PET non-woven fabrics,under the premise of not destroying the surface structure and properties of PET non-woven fabrics,the hydrophilic film is tightly wrapped on the surface of PET non-woven fabrics by the UV curable method,in order to achieve the purpose of introducing hydrophilic group on the surface of PET non-woven fabrics,let the PET nonwoven fabrics has a durable and stable hydrophilic property.By using mercury intrusion detector,surface tension instrument,SEM,FTIR and so on to study the surface contact angle,hydrophilic property,surface morphology,chemical functional groups of non-woven fabrics.The filtration performance of modified non-woven fabrics was studied by using the self-made fault flow device.The main conclusions are as follows:?1?Using the acrylic resin as prepolymer,hydroxyethyl methacrylate?HEMA?as hydrophilic monomer,1-hydroxy cyclohexyl phenyl ketone?184?as initiator,ethyl acetate as solvent,to modified the hydrophilic of polyester?PET?non-woven fabrics by the UV light initiating free radical polymetization.Respectively the effects of concentration and ratio of acrylic resin,hydrophilic monomer and photoinitiator on the hydrophilic property of the PET non-woven fabric are investigated.Experimental results showed that,with the increase of total solid content of acrylic resin and HEMA,the surface contact angle of PET non-woven fabrics first decreased and then tended to be stable,water flux first increased and then decreased.As the increase of the ratio of acrylic resin and HEMA,the surface contact angle of PET non-woven fabrics decreased,but the water flux increased.SEM showed that the hydrophilic modifier was firmly coated on the surface of PET fiber,and the porosity of PET non-woven fabrics reduced after modifieded.After the modification of acrylic resin and HEMA,the PET non-woven fabrics is hydrophilic and durable,and the filtration performance of the mixed wastewater is better,in the weak acid,weak base and neutral solution,the stability and durability are good.?2?Using the acrylic resin as prepolymer,propylene oxide two neopentyl glycol acrylate?NPG2PODA?as hydrophilic monomer,1-hydroxy cyclohexyl phenyl ketone as initiator,ethyl acetate as solvent to modified the hydrophilic of PET non-woven fabrics by the UV light initiating free radical polymetization.Respectively the effects of concentration and ratio of acrylic resin,hydrophilic monomer and photoinitiator on the hydrophilic property of the PET non-woven fabrics are investigated.Experimental results showed that,the unmodified nonwoven fabric has a clear structure of the original fiber,and the pores are larger,but the surface of the modified non-woven fabric was firmly bonded with a layer of polymer,and the porosity decreased.As the increase of total solid content of acrylic resin and NPG2 PODA,and the surface contact angle of PET non-woven fabrics first decreased and then tended to be stable,and the water flux first increased and then decreased;as the increase of the proportion of acrylic resin and NPG2 PODA,the surface contact angle of PET non-woven fabric decreased,but the water flux increased.Be modifieded by the acrylic resin and NPG2 PODA,the PET non-woven fabric is hydrophilic and durable,and the filtration performance of the mixed wastewater is better.
