Wool is a natural protein fiber,the products of wool are soft,flexible,warm and so on,its unique style make it much popular of the vast number of consumers of all ages.However,due to the wool surface covered with a layer of dense structure of the scale layer,making it easy to shrink,the surface hydrophobic and dyeing difficulties.There are also some natural pigment in wool,affecting its bright color.Therefore,the wool can be modified,bleached,destroyed and even removed the scale layers,which can reduce the woolness,improve the dyeing,whiteness and hydrophilicity.It is an important way to improve the wool textile processing and taking performance.In this paper,the different oxide reaction behavior of wool in the hydrogen peroxide activator was investigated,the effects of sodium cyanate dosage,sodium pyrophosphate concentration,temperature and time on the properties of wool were investigated.The properties of the wool after modified were studied by means of the characterization.In this paper,the bleaching promoting effect of the activator NOBS was studied.The wool was treated under the condition of peroxynonanoic acid,which was produced by NOBS and hydrogen peroxide.The wool was bleached by the strong oxidizing of peroxynonanoic acid,and analyzing the whiteness and wettability after bleaching.At the same time,the yellowing properties of wool fabric after bleaching were explored.It was tried to improve the whiteness and light stability of wool by finishing with UV absorber and dyeing with fast blue dye.It was found that the wool's modification by sodium cyanate and hydrogen peroxide had a significant reduction in the woolen properties of felting-property after finishing,the diameter of its puffed of the wool was from 2.01 cm increased to 3.46 cm,while the wetting time only need 2s,much shorter than the wool is greater than 30 min,,and whiteness and dyeing properties of the wools were greatly improved.From the electron microscopy and Allw?rden reaction can be seen that the surface of the wool's scaly layer after the modification was corroded and damaged.Activator NOBS has obvious activating effect on hydrogen peroxide bleaching of wool.The results show that the use of this activator can greatly reduce the use of hydrogen peroxide,and at the same time can greatly improve the bleaching effect of wool,while improving woolwhiteness,but also can improve the hydrophilicity of wool and dyeability.In addition,the results of the study on the lightfastness of wool after bleaching and modified showed that bleaching wool and modified wool are more prone to yellowing in the light,and the UV absorber can prevent the yellowing phenomenon well,and then treated the UV absorber finishing wool with blue dye for its yellowish phenomenon.The addition of blue dye can improve the whiteness of the wool after finishing with the ultraviolet absorber,the whiteness value increased from 67.75 to 73.55 from bleached wool,at the same time,it has good light fastness.So through the selection of oxidation of the active agent and the application of the corresponding process,can achieve the effect of surface modification and improvement of bleaching of wool.The combined application of UV absorber and blue dye,can improve the whiteness and light fastness of wool after oxidation treatment.
