The target of our research was to heterogenize the catalyst, based on the industrial Ni-Cu catalyst.According to the experience of former research on Ni-base catalyst, the Cu-base solid catalyst had been developed and determined.Cu-base solid catalyst was prepared by Cu salt exchanged with NaY in the liquid. The structure, component and acidity was characterized by means of XRD,XPS,ICP-AES,IC,BET,FT-IR,pyridine/CO-IR,NH3-TPD,Raman,TG-DTG and high resolution SEM.The results showed that anion/cation species, cation distribution and siting influenced the catalyst performance. The deactivation mechanism and regeneration of the highest activity catalyst,as well as the process of coke formation were proposed.CuY Prepared by NaY exchanged with various copper salts?Cu?NO3?2,CuBr2 and CuSO4?.The characterization results showed that the interaction between SO42-and[CuOCu]2+ was more effective than others.More and stronger acid site were generated, and promote the reaction.Furthermore, heating catalyst precusors in various atmosphere?air,N2 and H2?,various copper species(Cu0,Cu+,Cu2O,Cue2+,CuO)were formed.Catalyst prepared by heating twice exchanged catalyst precursor at 550 ? in N2 flow performed best.Because it had the best copper species distribution, richest acid site and most amount of Cu+ siting in the S? of FAU which could formed the active intermediate. The order of factors deactivated the catalyst performance was followed:coke deposition>active copper loss>acidity weakened>crystallinity collapsed. The formation of coke might like this, active acetylene pyrolyzed, solubilized, diffused and solidified as the disorder carbonaceous particle. Then grew to order carbonaceous fiber after particle satisfied.
