Polyurethane foam(PUF)is a kind of common polymer material,which has many advantages such as low cost,simple production process,acid resistance and alkali resistance.However PUF has some disadvantages,such as poor flame retardancy and low compressive strength,which limit the application of PUF.With a large number of literatures,this paper reviews the research progress of technique on flame-retardant PUF.In order to solve the problems of the properties decline in physical properties by the flame retardant and the low performance with existing flame retardant,this paper adjusting the PUF ratio of materials.And the PUF samples with high properties in flame retardant,thermal stability and physical properties has been prepared as the basic formula for the further study.Based on the basic formula,PUF samples with different flame retardants were prepared.While the effects of the amount of flame retardants and the proportion of flame retardants on their physical properties and the improvement of their thermal and flame retardant properties were studied.The main research work is as follows:PUF semples without flame retardant were preparedby one step method.Through the determination of reaction temperature,density and compression performance test,thermogravimetric analysis,limit oxygen index,SEM of PUF raw material on the material properties and flame retardant properties and thermal stability of the impact.The results show that:When the mass fraction of physical foaming agent HCFC-141B increased from 0 to 83.3,the reaction temperature,density and residual char of the PUF decreases from 105? to 72?,from 0.111 g/cm3 to 0.029 g/cm3 and from 25%to 5%,repectively.However,the bubble size increased obviously.When the mass fraction of silicone oil 1086 increased from 0 to 3.33,the reaction temperature decreases from 113? to 84.5? and the density decreased from 0.222 g/cm3to 0.047 g/cm3.Meanwhile,the bubble size also decrease obviously,and the residual carbon amount at 800? increased from 16%to 23%.When the mass fraction of black material,the foaming agent,tin catalyst and foam stabilizer is 167,8.33,0.083,3.33,PUF has better performance of physical and thermal stability.The PUF samples with different flame retardants were prepared base on the formula above,and the flame retardant properties of the composites were further improved by the combination of flame retardants.The physical properties,flame retardant properties and thermal stability of PUF materials were studied by the methods above.The results show that when the When the weight percent of DMMP increased from 0 to 25%,the reaction temperature decreases to 84?;and the PUF density increases from 0.047g/cm3 to 0.149g/cm3 while the weight percent of APP is increased from 0 to 20%When each weight percent of APP and EG was 10%,the LOI of PUF reached 28%.Experiments show that the combination of flame retardant can effectively improve the overall performance of foam.
