The Methanol Company is the first coal to chemical project of Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group Co.,Ltd,the annual output of Methanol Unit is 228 kt/y.After years of operation practice and technological upgrading,the operation of synthesis unit is becoming more and more stable,the problem we are facing now is how to reduce consumption and improve economic benefit.This essay studies the process conditions of the methanol synthesis unit and takes the theoretical data given in the process design package to analyze the actual operation parameters and get the experienced operation parameters.By comparing the carbon conversion,methanol selectivity and methanol yield at different operation cases,the optimal methanol synthesis parameters are concluded.That is to say when the temperature of the synthesis column is 170??175?,and its pressure is 5.4 MPa?5.8 MPa,as well as the C/H ratio at the inlet of synthesis column is 4.95,then the synthesis system will reach the optimum operating condition.Meanwhile this essay analyzes the sensitivity at various process conditions on the synthesis process when take the methanol selectivity as indicators,to find out the process parameters which should be controlled in top priority and the according adjustment measures are put forward.Through refinement operation,the unit consumption for methanol product is reduced and the fine methanol yield is increased,which lay a theoretical basis for the stable operation of the methanol synthesis unit.
