Structural color is a kind of physical color,which could be caused by light refraction diffraction,interference and scattering.Without using any chemical dyes,structural color has many advantages,such as high brightness,high saturation,rainbow effect and color fast.Therefore,applying this kind of technological coloration method to textile fabrics can effectively reduce the environmental pollution in the process of dyeing and enrich color system.This thesis was based on the principle of structural coloration.Well-ordered photonic crystal microstructure was fabricated on polyester fabrics by vertical deposition self-assembly.The experiment conditions factors on the assembly of structural color was discussed.The morphological structure and influences on optical properties of structural color were analyzed from the perspective of textile structure.This provides certain theoretical and practical basises for developing structural color fabrics with an application value and industrial production prospect.This thesis was carried out mainly by the following four aspects:?1?The preparation of monodisperse SiO2 colloidal microspheres: Monodisperse SiO2 microspheres were prepared by St?ber method?150-300nm?.The influencing effects of the volume of ammonia on the diameter and the monodispersity of microspheres were discussed.The ideal procedure for preparing monodisperse SiO2 microspheres which is suitable for building photonic crystal was optimized.The apparent morphology of the nanoparticles was observed by using field scanning electron microscopy?FSEM?,the laser particle size analyzer.And the internal components and structure was analysed by infrared spectrometers and X-ray diffracmeter.?2?Preparation of photonic crystals on glass slide by vertical deposition: Photonic crystal were obtained on glass slide using monodisperse SiO2 colloidal microspheres by vertical self-assembly.The morphological structure,structure features and faults of SiO2 photonic crystal was characterized by field scanning electron microscopy?FSEM?.The influences of SiO2 microspheres diameter,suspension concentration and deposition temperature on the structure of photonic crystals was discussed systematically.The reason for stripes and other cracks on photonic crystal structure was analyzed.?3?Preparation of photonic crystals on fabrics by vertical deposition: Photonic crystal were obtained using monodisperse SiO2 microspheres by vertical self-assembly from glass slide to flexible fabrics.The preparation condition of SiO2 photonic crystal on fabrics was optimized.The influencing effects of fiber,fabric background,microsphere diameter and viewing angle on color effects were discussed based on the coloring display of structural color on fabrics.?4?The influence of woven structure on structural color on fabrics: Under identical experimental conditions,SiO2 colloidal microspheres with the same diameter were self-assembled on polyester woven fabrics with different woven structure.The UV3600 UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer and the X-Rite RM200 QC instrument were used to confirm the color difference of structure color on polyester fabric with different woven structure.Through the above study,the main conclusions in this paper are as follows: SiO2 microspheres with different diameters could be obtained by adjusting the volume proportion of ammonia.The structural colors of photonic crystals were adjusted by the photonic band gap depending on the spherical size of SiO2 microspheres and viewing angle.The increase of the sizes of SiO2 microspheres or the decrease of viewing angles resulted in the red-shift of structure color on polyester fabrics.The coloring mechanism of photonic crystal on polyester fabrics is almost the same as on glass solid.The lightness of structural color on fabrics with black background color is higher than white background.Moreover,different woven structures affect the surface morphological structure on fabrics deposited by microspheres,which further affects the amount of light contributing to selective interference on the surface of fabrics.This leads to the luster difference of structural color.Compared with plain fabrics,the luster of structural color on satin fabric is duller.In this thesis,photonic crystal with good color effect had been assembled on polyester fabricsby vertical deposition.What's more,structural color with different color effect could been obtained by changing woven structure,which enriched the color scheme of photonic crystal structural color.
