Polyacrylamide plays an important role in tertiary oil recovery and has brought huge economic benefits for Chinese oil extraction.However,with the changes of stratum environment,the oil reservoirs with high temperature and high salinity have severely constrained the efficient use of polyacrylamide and lead to decreasing oil recovery.For this reason,many researchers have devoted to the modification of polyacrylamide and have synthesized different kinds of acrylamide-based polymers that can tolerate high temperature and salinity.This article focuses on the sulfonated modified polyacrylamide because the common polyacrylamide has poor temperature tolerance and poor salt resistance.Use the binary monomer and the ternary monomer to synthetize the sulfonated polyacrylamide(SPAM).The results showed that:(1)The binary monomer synthesis.Under adiabatic condition,using ammonium persulfate and sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate as the redox initiator,together with azobisisobutyronitrile(AIBN)composed redox-azo complex initiation system,leading-in 2-acrylamido-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid(AMPS)which can tolerates high temperature and high salinity and acrylamide(AM)which can enhance molecular weight,sulfonated polyacrylamide AM/AMPS(SPAM)were synthesized.Determine the optimal preparation conditions by rthogonal experiment:the monomer concentration is 10 wt%,initiator concentration is 0.15wt%,AM:AMPS equals to 5:5(mass ratio),(redox initiator):AIBN equals to 1:4,pH equals to 6,the polymerization initiatory reaction temperature is 40 ?,span20 concentration is 80 mg/L,urea concentration is 120 mg/L,EDTA concentration is 80 mg/L,the time for polymerization is 10 h.(2)The ternary monomer synthesis.On the basis of AM/AMPS,leading-in the DMAM,SSS,DMA to synthetize AM/AMPS,AM/AMPS/DMAM,AM/AMPS/SSS and AM/AMPS/DMA,investigating the ternary monomer how to effect the performance of sulfonated polyacrylamide,and confirmed SSS is the third monomer,the proportion of the third monomer is 5:5:0.1,5:5:0.2,5:5:0.2,under the condition,the sulfonated polyacrylamide can get the better performance.(3)The characterization of the sulfonated polyacrylamide.The binary and ternary sulfonated polyacrylamide were analysed by IR.The respective relative molecular mass of AM/AMPS,AM/AMPS/DMAM,AM/AMPS/SSS and AM/AMPS/DMA are 6.13 million,6.64 million,7.06 million and 631 million.The solid content of SPAM is more than 79%.Testing the nature of SPAM solution,it was found that the SPAM has good solubility,tackify performance and shearing resistance.Synthetic SPAM has good temperature tolerance,compared with HPAM,the viscosity retention rate of AM/AMPS?AM/AMPS/SSS are respective 78.1%?86.3%in 90 ?,while only 46%of HPAM.SPAM shows good salt resistance.Aging performance test showed that after 30 days the viscosity retention rate of SPAM is more than 48%,while the viscosity retention rate of HPAM is only 25.5%.
