The float glass is used in architecture materials with a long history,but the float glass industry is a high-temperature manufacturing industrial,production process consumes huge amounts of fuel,while also pollute our circumstance.In the float glass manufacturing stage,melting and fining process consumes most of the heat,thus reducing the viscosity of the glass in high-temperature,reducing the temperature of the melt and clarification process needed,is proved to be an effective way to reduce energy consumption in the glass industry.The object of this study is soda-lime silicate float glass,while keeping the total content of CaO,MgO and content of other oxide as constant,we prepare soda lime silicate series of different CaO/MgO ratio.Vicker hardness tester was used to study the property of glass at room temperature,thermal expansion coefficient meter and high-temperature rotational viscosity gauge used to study the thermal properties of glass,Raman spectroscopy analyzed the microstructure of the glass.And based on the soda-lime silicate float glass,while keeping the total content of CaO,K2 O,Na2O and content of other oxide as constant,we prepare silicate series of different CaO/K2 O ratio and CaO/Na2 O ratio. Vicker hardness tester was used to study the property of glass at room temperature,differential scanning calorimetry used to study the thermal properties of glass,Raman spectroscopy analyzed the microstructure of the glass.It was found that:While keep the whole mole content of [CaO] and [MgO] at 15.42%,with the ration [CaO]/([CaO]+[MgO])raised from 0 to 1,the Vicker hardness,characteristic temperature,low-temperture viscosity,high-temperature viscosity,material property decreases first,and then increase,the largest deviation from linearity is observed when the ration [CaO]/([CaO]+[MgO]) is 0.5. Raman spectroscopy result shows that high-densification units decrease first and then increase,while the low-densification units increase first and then decrease,which indicated that the Ca/Mg mixed alkaline earth effect decrease the densification of the glass network.While keep the whole mole content of [CaO],[K2O] and [Na2O] at 22.02%,with the ration [CaO]/([CaO]+[R2O])(R=K,Na)raised from 0 to 1,the Vicker hardness,glass transition temperature shows a decrease trend of deviation from linear,the largest deviation from linearity is observed when the ration [CaO]/([CaO]+[R2O]) is near 0.4. Raman spectroscopy result shows that high-densification units decrease,while the low-densification units increase.Due to the positive deviation from deviation of properties,which indicated that the Ca/R(R=K,Na) mixed cation effect increase the densification of the glass network.Furthermore,the degree of deviation from linearity of Ca/K series is larger than the Ca/Na serier.which shows that the ionic radius effects great on the strength of mixed cation effect.
