Cobalt-rich matte is low nickel matte produced in converter blowing of converter slag by electric stove depletion of the product, which is rich in cobalt and copper. The cobalt matte without open processing, circulation between depleted furnace and converter, resulting in a large number of cobalt with slag loss, serious impact on the recovery of cobalt. With the practice of production technology and equipment level of progress and pressure leaching technology for several years, in order to further improve the recovery of cobalt, nickel and cobalt smelting process system optimization and product optimization purposes, Jinchuan group company of cobalt-rich matte listed as key scientific research project, this paper is produced in this context.In this paper, cobalt-rich matte composition, mineral composition and production practice experience to determine the test process of pressure leaching of cobalt-rich matte. Through the test chamber pressure leaching of cobalt-rich matte small experiment research and experimental results show that the expansion of industrialization:(1)Cobalt-rich matte leaching of valuable metals should adopt a normal pressure leaching and a pressure leaching of immersion process, this method of cobalt-rich matte iron content adaptation range, high nickel and cobalt extraction rate, about 98% of the iron was inhibited in leaching slag, less equipment investment. Leaching solution and nickel cobalt system process reasonable convergence, can make full use of the company's existing production systems have the advantages of rich cobalt, cobalt-rich matte by cobalt slag forms to cobalt system.(2)Small scale test and industrial test the optimum technology conditions of processing cobalt-rich matte, which provides technical support for future industrial production.(3)The main economic and technical indicators of industrial tests are up to the industrial test scheme intended target. On the premise of ensuring uniform feeding, cobalt-rich matte pressurization immersion test of nickel and cobalt leaching rate is high, More than 98%, pressurized leaching solution containing iron can be reduced to less than 0.5g/l, test equipment in normal operation.
