Surface decorated wood-based panels with paper impregnated thermosetting resins of melamine is loved by everyone for its low cost and environmental health properties, while wood-based panels generally can be made of wood parts, which greatly increases the utilization of wood. In this paper,the physical and chemical properties of surface decorated particle board with paper impregnated thermosetting resins of melamine are tested with single factor and multi-factor orthogonal experiment method, which is in accordance with the relevant standards GB/T 15102——2006 and GB/T 17657——2013. By analyzing the obtained optimum process parameters of veneer particleboard production, and useing the color determination to determine the color and then come to the level of performance which is be to tested, the specific results are as follows:Through single factor experiments, when use the quality of appearance, resistance of being burned by cigarette, resistance of being steamed, resistance of being milled,and etc., as a measure of the value of the sheet quality standards, we get trends of pressing time, pressing temperature, pressure,the three hot pressing process affecting its produce. It provides the change of factories'production process with reference.By the summary and analysis of orthogonal test's results of various process,and through test press and production press, we get optimized process under various performance conditions when use particleboard of 18mm produced by Hansen as a base and Beihui company's gray linen Burg impregnated paper as veneer. Among the optimal process parameters under so many specific performances, the resistance of being milled?the resistance of being nicked?the resistance of being steamed and the surface's bonding strength in the selected process parameters basically can meet the national standard, and also go beyond a certain range of standard, so we only refer resistance of being burned by cigarette?the rhodamine -hydrochloric acid solidifed test results?the resistance of being polluted. After testing the corresponding plate,we see that when hot pressing process is 196??26 kg/cm2?21 s, the resistance of being polluted is better; when hot pressing process is 204??38 kg/cm2? 15 s, resistance of being burned by cigarette is better; when hot pressing process is 196??38 kg/cm2? 18 s, the rhodamine -hydrochloric acid solidifed test results is good.As we carry out the test on the test press and test the index, we see that the best pressing process is process with hot temperature 196?? pressing pressure 38 kg/cm2 and pressing time 18 s, and the plate has the best performance at that case. In this case, wear resistant surface is of the value of 34.6 mg/100 r, meet the GB/T 15102-2006?80 mg/100 r requirements; after the test refered before,there is no surface change, meet the basic requirements of national standard.Use the datacolor 110 to test the specimens which is treated by rhodamine-hydrochloric acid test,and then measure and calculate the color. We find that when the color value ?E?7.00, the color is lighter, close to colorless, the degree of cure is too more; if the AE* between 7.00?17.00 when the color is pink which is treated, the degree of cure is better, when AE*?17.00, the deeper the color, the degree of cure is not enough.
