Gypsy moth,(Lymantria dispar L.)is one of the most important lepidopteran defoliator pests all over the world.It has many characteristics,such as wide distribution,mixed food and up to more than 500 species of host plants.Because of the use of traditional chemical pesticides can lead to insect 3R problems,and specific plant volatiles can lure insects exhibit significant trend speciality,people are increasingly emphasis on the development of new biological sources of pesticides.In order to monitor and defense gypsy moth by plant volatiles,the electroantennogram(EAG)and behavioral responses of gypsy moth to 12 volatile compounds were tested,and find out the plant volatiles that tend to have a strong effect,include masson pine turpentine,salicylide,agastache rugosa oil,a-pinene,mentha piperita oil,capsicum oleoresin oil,leaf alcoho,geraniol,piper nigrum oil,santalum album oil,zingiber officinale oil and linoleic acid.Screening plant volatiles which tend to have a strong effect.The main results were as follows:The male gypsy moth exhibited very strong EAG responses(P<0.01)to 1%or 0.1%mentha piperita oil,1 mol·L-1 or 10-1 mol·L-1 salicylide and 1 mol·L-1 or 10-1 mol·L-1 a-pinene.The female gypsy moth exhibited very strong EAG responses(P<0.01)to 10-1 mol·L-1 geraniol.1%piper nigrum oil,10-1mol·L-1 salicylide,1 mol·L-1 ?-pinene and 1%masson pine turpentine.In 'Y' type olfactometer tests,10-1 mol·L-1?-pinene exhibited the best lure effect to the male gypsy moth,and the luring rate was up to 80±7.07%,0.01%capsicum oleoresin oil exhibited the best repellent effect to the male gypsy moth,and the repelling rate was up to 66±5.48%.10-1 mol·L-1?-pinene exhibited the best lure effect to the female gypsy moth,and the luring rate was ?p to 74±8.94%,1%zingiber officinale oil exhibited the best repellent effect to the female gypsy moth.and the repelling rate was up to 64±5.48%.In wind tunnel tests.10-1 mol·L-1 salicylide exhibited the best lure effect to the male gypsy moth,and the luring rate was up to 76±5.48%,0.01%capsicum oleoresin oil exhibited the best repellent effect to the male gypsy moth,and the repelling rate was up to 50±22.36%.10-1 mol·L-1?-pinene exhibited the best lure effect to the female gypsy moth,and the luring rate was up to 70±20.00%.1%zingiber officinale oil exhibited the best repellent effect to the female gypsy moth,and the repelling rate was up to 66± 16.73%.This study prepared masson pine turpentine microcapsules with complex coacervation by gelatin and gum arabic as wall material.The concentration of wall material was 2%,the reaction pH at 3.5,the reaction time is 90min and the solidification pH at 8.The microcapsules were spherical,dispersion,smooth surface and uniform particle size.The average particle size was 16.41 ?m.The encapsulation efficiency were 68.70%.The results of stability test have shown that the microcapsules enhanced the stabilization and sustained-release behavior of turpentine.
